We are located on a private wooded parcel at the North shore of Mullett Lake just East of the Cheboygan River. The evenings bring beautiful sunsets. Roast s'mores at the shoreline campfire.Fish from the 120 foot dock or swim from the platform.
This new construction very modern home will comfortably accommodate (14) people for large family get togethers and offers On-Demand hot water supply, never a cold shower!
Enjoy the barbeque and eat outdoors on the patio while enjoying the Big Lake View.
Boating, skiing, and water sports are at your finger tips or just float in the lake on your inner tube. Beautiful sunsets, watch the stars and the moon while enjoying the shoreline campfire.
We spent a week at this property in late June, 2014. The house was extremely clean and new, as evidenced from the moment we entered the living area. We were 4 families and 14 total people (6 kids age 2-14). Each of the parents had their own bedroom, and there were plenty of beds for the kids as well. The kitchen came fully stocked and all appliances worked perfectly. The layout of the house was perfect for family gatherings and also privacy when needed. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find WiFi included along with a few channels via Apple-TV, including netflix (great for the kids). The water-front was easily accessible and shallow enough to make it a more worry-free experience with the kids. There was very convenient access to amenities in Cheboygan, which was only a 7 minute drive from the house. Fishing was excellent (nearly everyone caught fish except for me!). Great golf nearby as well. In terms of minor areas for improvement, we would have welcomed a full-sized pull-out bed in the loft area and it would have been more convenient if we could have tied our small fishing boat to the dock. Thank you to the owners for a great experience. We look forward to possibly sharing more memories at your cottage!
We have all been vacationing "Up North" for many decades. For the last 15 years we've been enjoying the Inland Waterway, staying at the River Terrace. Though we enjoyed our stay there, this was so much more accommodating. The family is now too big for everyone to fit on the boat, but now nobody cared when it was their turn to stay behind! In fact we had volunteers! The location is perfect, with its beautiful yet private setting off the dirt road with plenty of trees and plant growth on each side, to the gorgeous view of Mullett Lake right in front! Wading, swimming, canoeing, (there is a canoe right there!), volleyball, (also supplied by owners), lounging in front of the lake or on the dock, while planning who's grilling and who's getting the fire going later in the pit for s'mores and games around the campfire!! And for those who do want to go on the boat, it's just a very short ride to the Cheboygan River with great places to eat, or all the way through the locks out to Lake Huron, Mackinaw City, Mackinac island, or Duncan Bay - Or go the other way across beautiful Mullett Lake and towards Indian River, Burt Lake etc. We only had one rainy day, and it didn't spoil our time at all! With 12 people, there is plenty of room inside the well cleaned and comfortable cottage to gather at the big square table for games, watch a movie on one of the two tv s ( the second one is upstairs in a tv alcove/room), or take a nap in one of the many comfortable beds in four different bedrooms.
We are already planning to stay here on our next trip back!
Thank you to the owners and Jeff for helping to make our family vacation so terrific!
(We were actually trying to come up with suggestions to improve our stay and it wasn't easy. The only thing we could come up with was perhaps a mirror in each bedroom, and some sort of flag(s) to keep the seagulls off the dock .)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, new lake home. We vacation each year with two other families and my 83 year old mom. There were a total of twelve of us ages 6 to 83. We had a wonderful time and found the home to be spacious enough to be comfortable even when we were forced inside due to unusually cold August weather. The unique layout of the house is ideal with the bedroom sizes and bed configurations perfect. The kitchen and dining area work great for large groups. The TV room on the second floor was the perfect place for the children to set up their Legos, games and toys. The boat moorings were fine and the guys found a huge mess of jumbo perch on our last full day. They couldn't have been happier!
I did share one suggestion with the property manager: The current lighting comes entirely from canisters in the cathedral ceiling and we missed having a hanging light over the dining table for evening games and lamps in the bedrooms and living area for those of us who like to read at night while others are sleeping.
The beach is very nice and you can walk out into the gradually deepening lake on firm sandy bottom until you reach your own comfort level - no drop-off ever. No worries with the children in the water! We brought our own firewood and took full advantage of the fire pit and beautiful sunsets each night. The only suggestion we had was that there be fire-side lawn chairs.
I especially appreciated hearing from the property manager after we arrived and during our stay to verify that everything was fine and running smoothly. And, of course, it was.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful new lake home with us.
This home is beautiful with everything at your disposal! It was both rustic and modern with ALL the comforts of home. We were lucky enough to have four of our six days blessed with great weather for Northern Michigan! The home in in a great location. Close to entrance of the Cheboygan River and just a short boat ride across the lake to the Indian River! We enjoyed boating and water sports and the home is perfectly located for all of that and fantastic for swimming! The water is so clean and clear! Our only complaint is that the mooring for our boat was not set in concrete and when a strong late night storm hit, our boat went along with it, into the rocky shore. We were able to get it to the boat launch but our boat did suffer some damage. We hope the mooring will be solidified for our return next year! This home is within twenty minutes of Makinaw City and there are several choices for going out to eat if you choose to. The location of the home provides beautiful evening sunsets and fun times by the Bon fire! We would highly suggest you to give it a try!
