Stand alone apartment with a large kitchen, fireplace, high ceilings 500 sq feet. The cottage is located in Cascade Canyon. Every window looks out to the mystical redwoods.
The cottage is steps away from the creek and minutes to several great hiking trails. A short walk to the waterfall and three wells, a swimming area for kids. Minutes to the most beautiful library on the West Coast and a fabulous downtown with great stores and restaurants.
Keywords: Free standing, built in 2011 , murphy bed large kitchen with a fireplace. Nestled in the redwoods. 10 minute walk to downtown, along the creek, next to many bike and hiking trails.
Happy family of four. We love Mill Valley for all the wonderful things it offers.
Kendra Pollack purchased this studio in 2011
We have a stand alone apartment. The property is private, clean and everything is new. If you love to cook, it is a large, fully loaded and functional kitchen. Location provides the serenity of the redwoods but is a short walk to our fabulous town.
I love the hiking and biking trails. We bike to Sausalito, take the ferry to San Francisco for the best meals in California. The wine country is an hour away, Stinson beach, we hike to Muir beach. Tuesday night you don't want to miss Mark Pitta at the Throckmorton Theater for a great night of comedy.
This cottage was a true gem & a wonderful retreat from city living. Once you open the front door you are in the redwoods, or you can stay in the cottage and all the windows and the trickling stream make you feel like you are outside. I feel like this is a place I would return to again and again (which makes me hesitant to reveal the best kept secret in this review)!
Kendra was also very flexible and easy to coordinate with.
Beautiful studio set in redwoods of mill valley. We were very comfortable and easy getting around area. Big problem for us - we have AT&T and had a lot of trouble w reception. Otherwise great little place.
A wonderful retreat in the redwoods of wonderful Mill Valley, my former home. A new way to connect with old school friends: your own place for privacy. Walk to town and enjoy the beautiful creek alongside the house. Kendra is a kind and gracious hostess, and the cozy cottage is immaculate, with everything you could want. Hope to be back soon!
Kendra's studio is on the second floor above the garage and it feels like you're in a treehouse. Gorgeous surroundings, incredibly quiet and peaceful. the studio itself is large, beautifully decorated and well provisioned. Had a very relaxing weekend. would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to be close to the great hiking of the area and the funky downtown of Mill Valley
Loved our stay at this beautiful little studio. It was nicely decorated with comfortable furniture and a gas fireplace. The unit is over their garage, separate from the house, making for a very private weekend. The place seemed to have everything we might need -- from shampoo/conditioner to a little kitchen that was perfect for fixing small meals.
Highly recommend this rental if you are in the Mill Valley area.
My husband and i stayed in Mill Valley in order to explore "local life" in the town as we look to move there. Kendra was an exceptionally easy host as she was extremely responsive to my email questions. We arrived late so she left the lights in the driveway, outside of the house on and the door unlocked for us. Parking was also not an issue. As soon as we entered, we were happily greated by a lovely little oasis of a guest house. Fully equipped kitchen (we made our breakfasts there), a beautiful full bathroom with heated marble floors, a super sweet fireplace, and an extremely comfortable bed with the softest linens.
Our stay there was super easy and we absolutely loved the guest house. So much that i actually said that i woud rent there full-time!
Nestled in the redwoods at the base of Mt. Tamalpais on a winding street with neighbors close by, it is a one-half mile easy walk to the center of town. Our shaded street is quiet, although active with bikers, hikers, and people walking their dogs or pushing strollers, since it is a natural destination for enjoying the beauty of Cascade Canyon. Hiking paths are close by, as is a stream that runs to a nearby wooded park set with benches and picnic tables. Due to the fact we are surrounded by Redwoods, you could have difficulty with cell coverage. Verizon has the best coverage here.
