Small but sweet 1 bedroom, 1 full bathroom, apartment that is part of a larger home CLOSEST to the FREE 24/7 365 Ferry to Manhattan. In a scenic 10 minute walk you are at the commuter ferry boat to Manhattan. Safest neighborhood as there is the 120 police station 2 blocks away and always FREE parking in front of the garden wall below the front of the house. The view from the front windows is of the year round flowering garden and beyond is the Hudson Harbor with a skyline view of New York City, the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building. In summer there is a 8,000 BTU to cool the apartment and in winter is a wood stove space heater. Everything is fresh and clean, newly renovated with comfort and beauty in mind for your pleasure. The living has a full sized sofa bed and a flat screen cable TV. Wifi is free and consistent.

Highly recommended option in Staten Island

My wife & I were for 7 days in this apartment, full equipped and very well located in Staten Island (5 blocks to St. George Terminal - 25 minutes to Manhattan on ferry) We enjoyed views over Manhattan skyline and travel on ferry at any time. All appliances are new and working properly.
Robin, the owner, is very friendly and was always available. Thank you for all Robin. We hope see you soon !

Owner's Response: This was a very lovely couple but 5 blocks to the ferry is incorrect, it is only 3 blocks. Then again, blocks vary in length and seeing the trip to the ferry is not measurable by exact 'blocks' it would be better to describe it as a 10 minute walk at a normal pace.

Wow, What a view!!

We arrived at Robin's apartment and we were so amazed at the beautiful view from this apartment. We stayed for four nights with our two teenage children and did very well in the apartment and we were very comfortable. We used the well stocked kitchen every day. Robin was a pleasure to meet and so accommodating to our needs and wanted to make sure we were always comfortable. She will be happy to give you great tips on how to get around the NY area and places to eat and see. We took the ferry across to Manhattan every day and it was easy to get to and very convenient. We never got tired of the ferry ride and the beautiful scenic ride over to Manhattan. The view is truly breath taking from the ferry. Even if you decide not to stay here, please take advantage of the free ferry ride at least once. It's an amazing ride and well worth your time. The ferry is available 24/7 and we took it late at night every evening and never had any issues with safety. Thank you Robin for being such a great host and thank you for allowing us to stay in your apartment and wake up to a beautiful view. It sure beats staying in a crowded hotel room.

Homely, safe and convenient

We arrived at Robin's property at dusk and the key arrangements were exactly as per instructions, no problems. We walked into a tastefully decorated and very homely apartment which was well maintained and clean.There was also the use of a rear garden and a balcony in the front , both ideal for a relaxed breakfast.The position is absolutely perfect in regards to the many diversions NYC has to offer as it is a very short and safe walk to the 24/7 Ferry straight to Manhattan. In summary; Friendly host, good apartment ,excellent position.

Owner's Response: They were a lovely couple and they are welcome back anytime but they made one small mistake. The rear garden is not really for the use of the Garden View apartment, but because we didn't have any guests in the larger apartment I let them use it. The front is not a balcony but rather a large front porch and that is for their use at anytime. It has seating and a great view.

My Go To place

I come to NYC frequently on business. Sometimes I'm there by myself or have one to two other guests with me. I have stayed in this apartment more than once, and will contact Robin each time I come to NYC. This Garden View apartment fits the name, there is a direct view looking across the Hudson at the skyline of NYC. You can even see Lady Liberty! It is a close and safe walk to the free Staten Island ferry. I would see a show and walk back very late at night by myself along a well lit and wide sidewalk along the major street, so I always felt safe – and I am a female! It is a small apartment, and small kitchen, but I had everything that I needed. You don’t even have to go into the City for a great meal, there are some great pizza joints and restaurants within walking distance – like Beso Spanish Restaurant.

Best Basecamp to explore this exiting City

Many weeks bevor we came to explore NYC, Robin and I were getting in tuch.She was very supportive and gave me a lot of helpful advices. So I got a good feeling without any worry about my first trip to this big City.
The Place is wonderful. It`s like a Basecamp on a big Mountain! Safe and quiet.
The nice Appartment was very clean and had Space enough for 4Persons. The Kittchen was completly equipt, also the Bathroom, Bedroom and the Livingroom.
The view to Manhattan from the Livingroom was awsome. It was our first view every Morning! Great!!!
After Breakfast, you have to go about 5 Minutes to the Free-Manhattan-Ferry. It is leaving the Harbor every 30 Minutes, 24h.
I can recommend you this Appartment highly.
We wil come back as soon as possible (because there is for shure something else to see in NYC).

Owner's Response: This father and son team were wonderful and I hope they return someday. One correction though, the free ferry leaves every 15 minutes during rush hours, AM + PM. It is only in-between and on weekends that there is the 30 minute schedule.

Very private, located in a old Victorian home but an entirely separate apartment. The neighborhood is safe and extra convenient to all public transportation. Only a 10 minute walk to the free ferry to Manhattan but there are bus stops near the house so taking a bus to the boat is easy.
