Cedar Point Cottage- Lake Michigan

Cedar Point Cottage was a great destination for our girl’s getaway. The house was clean, cozy and comfortable. A roaring fire in the fireplace kept the late spring chill at bay. We welcomed each day with a hot cup of coffee in front of a crackling fire. The kitchen was well equipped for two of us “foodies” who enjoy cooking and the island was a perfect place to gather the group for meals. There was plenty of sleeping space for our group of 6. The cottage is just a short walk down to a clean, un-crowded beach and a short drive to Pentwater where there are tons of cute little shops, restaurants and pubs. There are also several wineries nearby that offer tastings. During our stay we visited Cherry Point market -a great local farm market that has a cool herb labyrinth, weekly fish boils and fresh baked bread – well worth the short drive to Silver Lake. There are also dune buggy rides at Silver Lake that are fun when the weather is warm. Be sure not to miss the sun setting into Lake Michigan each night. The water here is clean and clear for swimming and kayaking. This is a great location for exploring the countryside or just relaxing by the water or a roaring fire (inside or in the fire pit in the yard . I would certainly recommend it to all my friends.
