Autumn Escape

My wife, myself and our two nearly grown kids enjoyed a last vacation together in the lovely Berkshires. Laura is now off to law School and Steve is busy learning some important skills in the US Navy in Charleston, SC. I don't think we could have found a better spot to relax and refresh and reconnect one more time before life moves on.
Dale and Gail were perfects hosts and Dale even cooked a meal for us on the on the upper level deck one afternoon. Can't get much better than that! Steve and I took several long interesting walks and never saw a car-even once. The lake is delightful, clean, cool (in mid September) and very rural! but that's what we were looking for. We brought our own canoes, but really didn't need to as the ones with the property are fine and functional. As to the accomodations, they are first class all the way. All the appliances and fixtures are new and in good working order and the bedding and furnishings are all in good shape and very clean and comfortable.
I highly recommend this property for anyone looking to get away from the noise and congestion of normal life, who want to relax, read and enjoy nature in a wonderful, very enjoyable setting.
