NC WINE COUNTRY AT ITS BEST ! YADKIN GETAWAY

This wonderful home gave me the opportunity to experience the serenity of country living. From the afternoon I arrived, to the morning I departed a week later, I enjoyed elements I normally don't get to experience at home in California. Having visited North Carolina many times, this was the first time I'd stayed in a vacation home there. Suzy was very cooperative and easy to communicate with. Her home is equally as accommodating in its warmth and amenities. Loved the kitchen as I prepared most of my own meals each morning and evening, my days filled with winery hopping, house hunting and sight seeing. I love the rural roads for their simplicity and beauty. The cows grazing in the pastures surrounding the home were always present, sometimes we would get in a staring match and they made me giggle when they trotted away when I moved too close. It snowed one night and I awoke to an amazing white landscape where I was able to shoot some good photographs of the rustic barns and bare trees. Other pluses....The vineyards have matured since my last visit 5 years ago and are producing some very nice wines now, Kitchen Roselli in East Bend is a very good Italian restaurant and.........I always feel welcome by the nice people I meet in North Carolina.
