Great location and really comfy

We loved this location. This was our second time coming to DC and using HomeAway and this time was much better because of the location. Very affordable and will book here again if we ever plan on coming back to DC.

Just perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here with my granddaughter for her spring break. The location could not be better! Literally 1 block from metro and 10 minutes from National Mall via metro. Another plus is its on yellow line which is straight shot from Reagan International airport..about 20 minutes.

I am an interior designer by profession and always appreciate staying at an attractive well-designed property. That it also feels like home is such an advantage over a hotel for me. Food is very expensive here so the kitchen saved a lot of money and also time, especially in the mornings. But don't miss the iconic Bens Chili Bowl .. two blocks away. I think U-Street would be fun to explore but we didn't have time this trip. The laundry meant we could travel light.

This was truly the perfect place for us and I hope to visit again someday. I have stayed at VRBO properties several times ....never disappointed but this is one of the best "finds" ever.

Excellent accomodations, location and interaction

  • 5 of 5

We stayed from Monday through Friday to do some sight seeing in our nations capitol.

Owners had a parking tag available for guests, but we had already planned on leaving our car at extended parking at the aiport. the metro stop is one block away, and travelling was very easy with google maps on the smart phone. We ended up walking most of the time to get some sight seeing in.

In-unit laundry made this trip nice, as we were able to do laundry from our first part of the roadtrip (Atlanta) and then again before we left for our next leg (Columbus, OH).

The unit itself was AMAZING. Stocked full of all the conveniences.

The owners made themselves available (used email most of the time to communicate with them), but then they let us be and enjoy their city unless we needed them.

Definitely the best VRBO for the $ we've stayed at so far.

Thanks Dara!

Great stay in DC

  • 5 of 5

We had a great trip to Washington DC and enjoyed our stay in the apartment. The apartment is exactly as the pictures show. We had no issues so did not have any contact with the owners.

The are great restaurants on the street behind the apartment. There is also a Trader Joes one block away which was convenient for stocking up on breakfast items. Dunkin Donuts was a couple of blocks away - needed to grab a bag of coffee for the coffee maker!

We flew in to Reagan and the Metro was a straight ride in to the U Street station. Apartment is a couples of block away - short walk.

This is the first time we have rented an apartment for vacation and it was a terrific experience. I am now planning our next trip to London and am working on securing an apartment for that trip through Home Away!

Great Location! Clean and well appointed apartment.

  • 4 of 5

We rented this apartment for our recent site seeing trip to DC. It is very close to the U street metro station, so we were able to hop right on the subway to access many sites. It is also walking distance to fantastic restaurants on the U street corridor. There are grocery stores fairly close by as well.

The apartment itself is quite nice. It has a small living room with a fireplace and Dish for the T if you plan to stay in at all. We loved that it had a full kitchen and laundry room. We were able to grab a quick breakfast before hitting the sites each morning. It was great to be able to do laundry mid-trip. The only con - it is a basement apartment, so people walking above you in the early AM will likely wake you if you are a lighter sleeper. However, for us, it got us downtown earlier to see more amazing sites.

The owner was easy to contact and kept in regular communication with us as we needed. We have already recommended this property to some friends we made during our trip. We would stay here again for sure.

Wonderful property in a great neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

I rented this apartment for a trip to DC for my wedding and honeymoon vacation. This property is exactly as described and the pictures on the site are a perfect representation. This is the first time I have rented a property such as this and I have to say that for the price, it cant be beat. The apartment is modern, clean, and efficient. All the amenities are great.

The neighborhood is spectacular. There are many restaurants within walking distance at any price point. There is a Rite Aid very near as well. The U street train station is only a couple blocks away and very accessible. I highly suggest that you explore the neighborhood as there are great restaurants on U street as well as on 14th street. Try Ted's Bulletin and Café Saint Ex. They were spectacular.

One word of warning. Parking is available and I was able to park right in front of the house with the visitor parking permit, however I got a 45.00 ticket for being parked on the street during street cleaning time. There are a couple signs but they are hard to see and if you are on the sidewalk, almost impossible to see. When I stayed there, the street cleaning was on Thursday from 9:30-11:30.

The owners live upstairs and were available for anything I needed. I met them both once while outside, but otherwise they left us alone to enjoy our stay. I highly recommend renting this apartment. I will definitely rent this apartment again when I return to DC. I am giving each category 5 stars with the exception of experience since I did receive a parking ticket.
