Cozy, comfortable apartment in Columbia Heights. The apartment was extremely clean and fresh, with a cute, well designed kitchen. We enjoyed the short walk to Metro, Starbucks, The Coupe, Room 11, Target, Giant, and a children's playground for our grand daughters. Master bedroom was very comfortable as well, and fold out couch in living room was good for kids, but a bit hard for adults. We would gladly come again- also want to mention that the owner/managers were so receptive and easy to reach. Loved our trip, and this apartment.
My wife and two kids (8 and 2) stayed for a week.
The apartment was very nice and located in close proximity to everything you'd need - especially the metro.
Our son was a bit young for sightseeing, unfortunately, so one of us would routinely be back in the room with him around nap time - but he loved wandering around the apartment and we had zero worries about his safety.
Communication with the owners was quick and responsive.
Constructive Feedback: The convertible bed wasn't comfortable - had there been a proper pullout sleeper sofa, this would have brought the rating up to 5 stars. Also, the WiFi was a bit slow - since the whole building shared it, I can understand why this is so, but, this was a little annoying trying to plan the next day's activities with a slow connection.
Overall though, we liked the place and would stay again!
Beautiful apartment in a great location. Close to grocery store, Target, Coffee shops and restaurants. We enjoyed dinner at The Heights. The Metro was a couple of blocks away. We live in Chicago, so it was very much like home to us. The owners quick to respond and solve any issues. The apartment is very clean and nicely furnished. I would recommend this property to anyone traveling to D.C. We had a wonderful time!
We stayed for 4 days and found everything comfortable and the manager(Carlos) very accessible and helpful. Yes it is on third floor. We didn't cook a lot so everything was there we needed. The remote needs to be found and fixed and the tub doesn't have a plug or rails. It was very convenient to metro and yes it is in an ethnic neighborhood but we never felt uncomfortable. Great grocery around the corner. The Heights (restaurant) was so good we ate there twice. If coming from the airport (Reagan) you can easily get there with luggage if you can pull it. We enjoyed our stay and found it quite comfortable.
Apartment was a good size, bed was large (king). Laundry (free use) was appreciated. Air con was a bit noisy and wifi was not reliable - went down four of the nine days we were there. The apartment was missing some essentials that made life a little difficult - TV remote control was missing, no jug or other receptacle to boil water for tea, no can opener. It was handy to the metro, but not a nice area to walk through each day. We found a great Mexican restauraunt near the metro.
Because of us being elderly, we did not realize the condo was on the third floor. They were very nice in accommodating us to the 2nd floor condo. We stayed the first day on the third floor and the rest of our 4 days on the 2nd floor. The place was very clean and comfortable. The bath tubs do need bars and a rubber mat for safety reasons. They did provide a space for us to park our rental car. The neighborhood was well lighted and close to lots of restaurants, a grocery store and the metro. 14th Street is just one block away and it takes you all the way downtown and back.
