This one bedroom condominium, located in historic Victorian building in the NW quadrant of Washington DC, Columbia Heights neighborhood known for its Victorian architecture, offers spacious 1200 square feet of living space, king size bed in the bedroom and pull down sofa in the living room.

Gracious living-dining area for charming family meals and entertaining with nicely equipped kitchen. Hardwood floors cover the entire unit and complement our décor. Our living room offers spacious seating as well as pull up sofa for additional sleeping area. Private, off-street parking available next to the building. Free Wireless/Wired DSL.

We are located just few blocks to Columbia Heights Metro (green and yellow line), the Tivoli Theater, DC USA shopping center, the Heights restaurant, Giant grocery store, Sticky Fingers vegan bakery and cafe and all the dinning and shopping located around the Tivoli square.

Columbia Heights borders the neighborhoods of DuPont Circle, Adams Morgan, Mount Pleasant and U Street corridor, DC's most vibrant centers celebrated for its history where the charmingly traditional meets the latest in urban planning.

Rich in history, Columbia Heights stands today as a dynamically evolving neighborhood dotted with new venues for performing arts and zesty Latin eateries. There are coffee shops, grocery stores, department stores all within walking distance. Our neighborhood is located just up from DuPont Circle, right up on the Hill leading down to the White House and the National Mall. Getting to and from the National Mall is easy by Metro which is located just a 2 blocks from the property, by walking or by cab.

Because of us being elderly, we did not realize the condo was on the third floor. They were very nice in accommodating us to the 2nd floor condo. We stayed the first day on the third floor and the rest of our 4 days on the 2nd floor. The place was very clean and comfortable. The bath tubs do need bars and a rubber mat for safety reasons. They did provide a space for us to park our rental car. The neighborhood was well lighted and close to lots of restaurants, a grocery store and the metro. 14th Street is just one block away and it takes you all the way downtown and back.

Family holiday to Washington

We travelled from Australia with two young children, and stayed for a week. The pictures of the apartment are accurate. Clean, Nice decor and modern furnishings, excellent storage space. Large dining table and fridge. Very comfortable, we could fit the whole family in the king bed! Adults would find the futon sofa a bit hard though.
Great location, shops and metro just a quick 5 min walk, as is the Connector bus which is only $1. All makes it easy to get to zoo and Smithsonian museums. Giant supermarket close by, easy to join up and get the specials and metro cards available too.
Highly recommended.

Behave not yet had the opportunity to stay at this property. Our trip (business and pleasure) was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy. Although I've not yet visited the home, I can attest that the owners are pleasant, professional and considerate. All of our communication regarding scheduling, equipment for baby, and refunding our payment upon our unfortunate cancellation was prompt and polite. I look forward to renting from these owners as soon as possible. After an immensely unsatisfying, frustrating and expensive experience with the airline, it was so nice to deal with a kind and understanding individual in the travel industry. I highly recommend working with Elizabeth and Jarek.

excellent location for walking 2 blocks to metro, grocery store, restaurants,Target, pharmacy etc. Clean accommodations. Kitchen more than adequate for cooking. Owners available anytime. third floor - no elevator. Bring your own hairdryer. Wi-fi and TV included. Off-street, secure parking was much appreciated.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. We are sorry about the missing hair dryer. The previous guest must have packed it accidentaly. We have hair dryers in all our apartments and replace the missing ones as soon as we know about them.

Stayed here a month and loved it!

We just got back from a month stay in DC. My husband, myself and our two kids (1 and 3 years old) stayed in this unit. The condo is very clean and modern. It has several closets (one of which served as the bedroom for our one year old), and pretty much everything you'd need for your stay. The location is perfect. The neighborhood is very ethnically diverse and just a metro ride from all the DC sites. Its just a short walk to the Giant grocery store, Target, the Metro, and a great park. We took the metro all over the city and walked to zoo several times. Elizabeth, Marketa, and Kuba were great to work with and worked hard to make our stay comfortable. They provided a pack n' play and a high chair for our youngest, and were available to help us with all our requests and questions. They are even mailing us our daughter's blanket that we left behind! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and recommend it to anyone who wants to experience DC.
