This Ski Chalet is our home away from home!

I run a trip with a very large group of friends who USED to play paintball twice a year during the summer at Jack Frost. We also used to stay at Jack Frost for these events. When Jack Frost closed their paintball fields unexpectedly one summer, our games moved to Skirmish in Jim Thorpe PA, and we were left without a place to stay for the weekend. After doing some research we came across this cabin. Its huge, which was the immediate draw considering my IMMEDIATE group is about 20 people, and then there are typically anywhere from 4-6 other cabins filled. This was the ONLY cabin we found that could comfortably hold all of us AND keep us occupied for an entire weekend. The others we looked at were just your run of the mill place to stay. Beds, a kitchen, maybe a tv or 2, and not much else. The owners of this cabin have basically added simple little things to the property that enhance the experience for anyone that stays there. A typical cabin will have a standard size dining room table that MIGHT feed 8-10 people. THIS cabin can comfortably feed around 14-16 people at any given time, and surprise! if you lift the table cloth, its a ping pong table! They also have the pool table downstairs as well as a second TV. The kitchen downstairs is mainly used for storage, and the the fridge down there has been dubbed the "beer fridge" because thats all that ever goes in it.
Every year we come there is a new addition to the house, whether it be the jacuzzi outside, the covered portion of the deck, the flat screen, there always seems to be something new. We truly consider this cabin to be our official home away from home, we've tagged it as such on social sites like Foursquare, and as long as the owners will have us, will continue to rent it for all of our adventures and exploits in the Poconos.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your good review! We're glad you have enjoyed this house so much. I must say, we have put a cap on 18 people now, and are carefully screening large groups as they often cause a lot of damage and disturb the neighbors. We don't want to be considered a 'party house!' But your group has been respectful and has left the house in as good condition as when you arrived, so you are always welcomed!
