Villa Seashell is a luxury style ocean-front villa located in the prestigious resort of Coral Estate (24/7 security), close to Curacao’s most beautiful beaches on the West side of the island. From the moment you enter our home you get the sense of privacy and tranquility you deserve.
The closest beach, with crystal clear blue calm warm water, is only 200 yards from your doorstep. It is perfect for diving, snorkeling, swimming, lounging, and tanning.
Even the most travelled among you will be amazed about the space in this villa, with its four bedrooms all with their private (en-suite) bathrooms.
The two bedrooms upstairs have an indulgent king-size bed, and the two downstairs each have two single beds, with the option to make them into a king-size bed.
THE REAL SHOWSTOPPER IS THE GAZEBO IN THE BACKYARD—the perfect retreat after a day at the beach.
Your kids can splash around in the sparkling pool as you sip cocktails watching the tropical fish and turtles in the crystal clear blue ocean, while small fishermen boats pass by, and the sun sets in the ocean.
As night falls, you can enjoy dinner at the restaurant & lounge bar Karakter (at the beach down the road), explore the international restaurants of historic Willemstad, or cook your own dinner at the villa’s gourmet kitchen watching the lights of the boats at night.
Although you probably prefer to live most of the day outside, the villa offers a spacious indoor sitting and dining area with European antiques mixed with Caribbean colors.

Nothing is more rewarding than hosting families for their vacation of a lifetime. It is fantastic to see how our guests feel quickly at home and appreciate the attention we put into everything here. We are very often graced with fun and dynamic guests that make hosting Villa Seashell a great new experience each day.
Our family of four lives in Aruba. Your contact, Linda Lou, works as an artesian making beautiful jewelry and wall decorations from the treasures of the ocean. As the name implies, a lot of Linda Lou’s art can be found at Villa Seashell.
We enjoy renting vacation homes ourselves. Our favorite destinations are the United States, Italy and France. We’re avid snorkelers and mountain bikers.
We love Curacao. It has the best of both worlds: Caribbean with a Dutch flavor.
Villa Seashell is ideally located within Coral Estate Resort. The villa offers privacy, space, tranquility and security, while being just steps away from Curacao's most beautiful beaches.
Besides going to one of the beaches, we like to venture out into the countryside and explore the rolling hills topped by plantation houses built more than 3 centuries ago, or visit the North coast with its raw beauty.
On the Northern side of the island the rough sea water has been smashing against the rocky coastline for centuries and has built caves and little inlets into the rock. It is great to walk over the massive volcanic rocks and observe the wild live, listen to the wind, and climb down into the caves to observe the waves clashing against it walls.
We also like to visit Willemstad, which is only a 20 minutes drive. It has attractive stores, exquisite restaurants and a rich architecture that tells a tale of its history.
Hato International Airport communicates the island with the rest of the world with direct daily flights to Europe, the United States and South America.
Our villa is not the typical vacation rental. It used to be our primary home, filled with high quality furniture, luxurious amenities and architectural details.
The location of the Villa is very unique; anyone going there just falls in love with it. The views of the ocean are breathtaking at all times of the year. Star filled nights or a full moon shining across the ocean and lighting the pool for a night swim make this place a unique vacation spot.
The place we like best at Villa Seashell is the very large gazebo at the border of the ocean, with its 10 persons lounge set, hammocks and dining table; and the wooden deck above the ocean where you can catch your own fish and enjoy the sunset.
DIVING and SNORKELING
There are many excellent dive locations and dive facilities all over the island. Without rivers or other sediment sources, visibility averages 90 degrees and the water temperature is usually around 80F. The main reason for Curaçao's diving popularity is its commitment to reef conservation and maritime parks. The island's conservation programs have fostered some of the Caribbean's most pristine coral reefs and a dazzling variety of marine life. Curaçao has more than 60 identified dive spots with 57 coral species and more than 500 species of fish. See awesome underwater life photos at Curaçao Diving Paradise (http://curacaounderwater.com/).
Annual coral spawning is a miracle of coral reef reproduction, a spectacular phenomenon rarely seen by few only. It happens 3 days after the full moon in September and October in Curaçao. Divers can witness several types of coral, urchins and brittle stars release their eggs to be fertilized in the open waters around the reef. This elusive mating ritual is not to be missed!
Bask in the sun at two of the BEST Beaches in Curaçao, which are just minutes from Villa Seashell! Playa PortoMari offers exquisite swimming, snorkeling, and diving with its white coral sand beach and clear, calm waters. Dine at their restaurant while watching the sunset and relax at their famous beachside bar. Only five minutes away is Daaibooibaai Beach, it features crystal clear water with giant cliffs rising out of their depths. Beachgoers can spot vibrant corals which cover the steel-gray rocks that protrude from these waters.
Curaçao has about 36 beaches; many in small coves with cliffs surrounding them. The northern coast is rough but offers beautiful spots for photographers.
HIKING & MOUNTAIN BIKNG:
Jan Kok Salt Ponds (just a few short steps away)
A short walk away from Villa Seashell is a wonderful foot path leading to a beautiful overlook of the Jan Kok Salt Ponds, which is home to the flock of flamingos that live on the island. At the end of the short path is a very private picnic table and seating area, so many bring a lunch or snack to eat, relax and enjoy the view. At night, bring your wine and cheese and be astonished at the marvelous clear sky with its bright stars shinning over the salt ponds ... it doesn't get any better.
On the North-West side of Curaçao, you will find the sea battered volcanic landscape mixed with coral. Shete Boca Park, which contains Boca Tabla, and Boca Pistol, is just pass the entrance to Christoffel Park. Huge waves thunder into an underground cavern and various displays of geyser like sprays are spectacular. The smaller inlets are protected turtle breeding areas.
St. Christoffel National Park
A large part of Westpunt is occupied by St CHRISTOFFEL NATIONAL PARK - a nature preserve. You can climb Mt. Christoffel at 375 meters (1400 feet), with a guide or on your own. Many hikes are well-marked and maintained, eight hiking trails are available to cover all fitness choices.?
A short drive to town brings you into Punda, the city's commercial center with its colorful historic buildings and distinctive architecture. The pedestrian only streets lead you to the quaint stores stocked with quality items for sale. Savor authentic island cuisine at the many downtown cafes. While relaxing at the waterfront market, watch the Floating Bridge (Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge) move from its anchor to open the Sea gate for ships to pass into the St. Anna Bay.
