If you like, friendly owners, Ryan and Christina have written down some of their favorite local eating, drinking, sightseeing places not to miss while in Victoria.
My significant other and I came to Victoria while vacationing on the northwest coast in early August. Victoria, BC was our third stop. We had traveled to Seattle for a few days, then took the ferry to Friday Harbor, San Juan Islands for a couple days, then took the ferry to Sidney, then a bus to Victoria. Needless, to say we were a bit tired from our travels by the time we reached our destination in Victoria. When we walked in, the apartment looked just like the pictures. It was spotless and refreshing. Perfect size for 2 people. We could store our luggage and move around the apartment with more than enough room. This may have been the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. I need to replicate it's comfort at home! I also really enjoyed having our own kitchen so that we could stop at the grocery store a few blocks away and have some easy home-cooked food for a meal if we didn't feel like eating out. Like previous reviews had stated, the location is about a 15 minute walk from the downtown area. We don't mind an easy walk so that was no problem at all. I suppose you could always take a cab, but we never did, and prefer to walk anyway. We also went for a run from the apartment, through downtown and to a park and back. It's really not far from all the action. Once we had arrived in town, Ryan was easy to contact and communicate with, which is always a plus. If we ever end up back in Victoria, I would definitely stay here again!!
My husband and I stayed for Thanksgiving weekend. The suite is so cute and cozy. We were very comfortable and had a lovely time. The area is quiet and a short walk into the heart of downtown. The binder was helpful for information about near by amenities and dining recommendations. It is well equipped with all you need to prepare a home cooked meal but we preferred to check out some of our favorite eateries. The Home Away app was very helpful and we didn't have any questions as they were answered before we thought of asking them! We would definitely recommend this studio and would stay again next time we visit Victoria.
I stayed there for two weeks while I was working at the Royal Jubillee. The suite is very cute and well furnished and everything is extremely clean. The furnishings are lovely. It was SO much nicer than staying in a hotel for my purposes. The bed is very comfortable and the owners are nice. For tourism, it is walkable to downtown, but a longer walk, so helpful to have a car and bike. (free parking! and WIFI). I didn't do any touristy stuff, because wasn't there for that. It's very close to the market on Yates, and right by Save On Foods arena if going for an event there. I've stayed in lots of Victoria hotels, this was much better for the extended stay.
We we're here 3 nights. The accommodations were great. 10 minutes to walk downtown and minutes to a direct bus that took us to Buchart Gardens.
A grocery store and liquor store are even closer.
Construction began next door when we arrived which Ryan had no warning. Not to worry they didn't start until after 800. If you sleep late Ryan provided ear plugs.
We even ended up using the laundry due to a spill on our jeans so we topped up the machine with other laundry.
We would stay again. Clean and comfortable !
This little suite was cute and well-equipped, with attention paid to all the small details. There was fresh coffee and cream, plush towels, access to laundry just off the suite and a really comfortable bed. The kitchen was well equipped and the decor details surpassed our expectations. Ryan and Christina are really well-organized and included a binder of local attractions, personal restaurant recommendations and all the suite details you will require. Great suite. We would definitely book again if in Victoria.
We had an excellent time visiting Victoria and our lovely vacation rental was a big part of that. The accommodations were within walking distance of most of the things we wanted to see (Chinatown, Downtown, the harbor, several museums, restaurants and bars) as well as being clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Our hosts were incredibly gracious (allowing us to shift our stay a day forward after some travel difficulties) and a wonderful resource for our trip. I would definitely recommend booking your Victoria stay in this rental!
Brand New Suite. Located less than a block from Save on Foods Memorial Arena and Royal Athletic Park, makes this spot strategic for any music or sports buffs a like. Also note worthy is that there is Salon C - hair salon just next door for those travelers in town for a wedding or just in need of some TLC.
