Camp Mollocket is a 90 year old classic Maine lodge situated on a secluded mountain lake. While you are truly in the middle of the Maine forest, you will enjoy all modern amenities. The rustic “Grand Old Lady” charm has been maintained while the kitchen and baths were completely renovated and modernized in the fall of 2010. Sitting on 2 and ½ acres of land with 450 feet of private lake frontage and surrounded by forests, one can find at Camp Mollocket unparalleled peace and rest. The camp has its own private dock and a small private beach. Relax on the wraparound screened porch, cuddle up in front of the massive stone fireplace, or walk out the back door for some of the finest hiking and walking trails in Maine – there is something for everyone. Camp Mollocket is large enough for a family reunion, or cozy enough for a romantic getaway.

Camp Mollocket, set in the midst of the Maine forests on a beautiful mountain lake is truly a place to get away from it all. Here you can relax amidst the beauty of the Western Maine Mountains. But Camp Mollocket is still very accessible. It is only a 3 hour drive from the Boston area. Because it is off the normal summer vacation routes, detailed driving instructions will be needed to find the camp. These, of course, will be provided when you reserve your vacation time. Camp Mollocket is a large Maine lodge, but your stay at this Grand Old Lady can be tailored to meet your needs, from a getaway for two to a relatively large family reunion.

Camp Mollocket is located on a mountain lake. There is immediate access to a variety of hiking trails right from the camp. There is excellent fishing and swimming. Within an hours drive is the White Mountain National Forest, Sunday River Golf and Skiing is within a 45 minute drive.. Many other activities are in the general area..

I rented this lodge July 7-14, 2012 for a family reunion/vacation. My husband & I moved to Albuquerque and wanted to visit with our family in one place - rather than driving all over New England. Camp Mollocket provided the perfect place to accommodate the needs of all 4 generations. My parents (ages 78 and almost 80) loved the wrap-around screen porch with views of the lake and cool breezes. The kids (big & little) loved the water and just hanging out at our own private beach. The paddle boat and canoe were a nice touch too. The living and dining areas were cozy and comfortable and the two dining tables - one inside and one on the porch worked out great for our family of 13. The 6 bedrooms were a plus - everyone had their own bed and all were quite comfortable. Our entire stay was a dream come true for me... having everyone together in such a beautiful setting. Hope to return next year. - Susan & Family

Loved the peace of Camp Mollocket

We had twice before rented on Shagg Pond--but Camp Mollocket was the best. We loved the quiet, the loons, the huge porch, the well equiped kitchen, the fireplace and all the bedrooms. We felt right at home and so did our dogs! We were grateful to the Weirsmas for letting us extend our stay--a last minute request. The caretaker, Dick was great also--we had met him before and he made
sure we were all set. Our family is looking forward to another stay this year.

Our Family Vacation

What a great time we had on Shagg Pond! The house was clean, well supplied and very peaceful. Everyone in our family had their own space to relax and loved the canoe and paddle boat that were available.
It had been a long time since we had a chance to get away for a family vacation, and all of us enjoyed the "getting back to basics" vacation we had.
We swam during the day, hiked up Bald Mountain, and found Little Concord, sat at the beach and just relaxed. At night we had a campfire, played cards and games and just enjoyed each others company.
Every morning we had morning coffee on the porch swing, just taking in the view, watching the loons on the water, or just watching the sun rise up over the mountain. What a perfect way to start a vacation day
Our family made some great memories, and we look forward to someday going back to Maine and vacationing on Shagg Pond.
