I was born close to Lake Texoma and have lived around this area my complete life. My Dad was a surveyer on the Dam when it was built. My wife and I have camped, fished, and enjoyed the lake all of these years. We retired close to Lake Texoma.
The Owner purchased this house in 2007
Because of our love and familiarity with Lake Texoma, it only seemed logical to have vacation rentals on Lake Texoma.
Obviously fishing is great on Lake Texoma. We have done a lot of boating on the lake and have especially enjoyed the sunsets overlooking 5 miles of water. At the Shoreline property, you can enjoy walks along the water's edge and all of the birds that live around the lake. On a clear night you can see thousands of stars that may never have seen before.
Everything was exactly as described. Jarel was waiting for us when we arrived to show us around and let us in . Needed to get away from the city for a few days to unwind and this was the place to do it. The house was really clean and comfortable and stocked with just about everything that you would need. The covered porch is where we spent the majority of our time for 3 days looking at the lake. We will be back later this year.
This was our gathering point for the Thanksgiving Weekend. (11-27 thru 12-1-2013. Our party was composed of 6 adults and 2 children (18 months and 6 months) and three dogs. We were coming from Indiana, Kentucky and Texas. Everything was clean and ready to go when we arrived and the facility manager Jerel welcomed us to Lake Texoma. Jerel was very friendly showed us around the house and offered to be of any assistance we might need. Plenty of cooking utensils, clean bed linens, and towels provided everything needed for a wonderful stay. We had a wonderful family gathering and will do it again. Lake Texoma could use some more water. We will pray for rain. That is the only short coming we found and certainly out of the hands of the owners of this wonderful get-away vacation home.
We had the best time at a very clean and well maintained home. There were 13 of us and we made it work. Jerel the caretaker was wonderful. We absolutely will go again. Loved it
I booked this property to celebrate my husband's 30th birthday with some friends and it was perfect! We were 4 couples, along with a few dogs. It's a short walk to the lake and has a great patio. There's a grocery store nearby and was perfect for last minute items we forgot! It's a very quiet street- right at the end with only a few neighbors nearby. We will absolutely stay here again :)
I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful lake home. It has all the features and comforts of home. My family and I have had the pleasure of staying twice now and each time was everything we needed. The kids loved it and the parents did too!
We took a last minute trip to Texoma before the kids had to go back to school! We rented this home, which was at the end of the road with a nice view of the lake. The water is only about a 50 yd walk from the home if you just want to take a stroll down by the lake. It was a peaceful location, & the home had everything we needed, except food & our personal care items. They even provided nice linens on the very comfortable beds, & towels in the bathroom & kitchen! The kitchen is very well equipped w/ a double oven, electric stove, microwave, fridge/freezer w/ built-in icemaker w/ everything you need to prepare & eat meals (pots, pans, serving bowls, platters, utensils, plates, glasses, large coffee mugs, BBQ utensils, BBQ lighter, coffee pot, toaster..even leftover containers for your use while you are there and even a corkscrew). The air conditioner works beautifully to keep the home cool. The master bedroom & the bedroom off the kitchen are a little warmer, but they stay cool if you leave the doors open so the air can circulate. The outdoor grill was nice & clean and there was even satellite TV, a DVD player, a movie library & a couple of games in the TV cabinet. There is no internet, which would bother me if I was traveling on business, but it was nice that the kids weren't tied to their computers/gaming & they actually interracted with each other & played board & card games together at the coffee table & watched the game show network while I cooked meals! It was a wonderful bonding experience for our relatively new blended family. There is only one shower, but it worked out fine for us with our family of 7 (we split between morning and evening)...& the water pressure in the shower was really good! The neighbor behind the home & resident manager for the owner (Jeral) was such a sweet, gentle soul & was very helpful with anything we needed! There is even a dock for your boat, however, the water was too low to use it this time, but don't let that deter you. Lighthouse Marina is only about a 3 min drive away & it's only $5 to launch from there! They also have pontoon boat rentals at Lighthouse (plus tubes, kayaks, etc) & a general store there, and the lady that runs the place is very nice! We will definitely go back & would definitely recommend this rental! Thanks for allowing us to stay in your home! ITEMS TO BRING: Food/drinks, personal care items, coffee, cooking oil, charcoal/fluid, foil, baggies, fishing poles, water shoes, sunscreen, bug spray)
