This one bedroom condo has been totally renovated in April 2011, and has tile flooring through out. Notable features include a modern kitchen with granite counters, new cabinets, appliances and a full bathroom with a sparkling new tub/shower and toilet.
The bedroom has a queen sized bed, and tropical wood dresser and mirror set.
Air conditioning and a ceiling fan help to keep the unit cool after a long day at the beach. Kick back with cold drinks and watch a DVD on the 40' Sony LCD.
Kalama Terraces is centrally located and is a five minute walk to the beach, and ten minute walk to Foodland (grocery store), restaurants and bars.

My husband and I are fortunate enough to live in Steveston, which is a small family oriented community in Western Canada. Our neighbourhood has a small town feel, yet is only 30 minutes away from all that Vancouver, BC has to offer.
I work in Vancouver at a large, teaching hospital as a nuclear medicine technologist. My husand Andrew works for Shaw Cable where he installs residential internet/cable.
We have a 11 year old daughter who loves to ride her bike and is learning to play the piano. Three years ago we adopted a beautiful German Shepherd/Collie cross from the local Animal rescue Society.
My husand is an avid runner and has many medals from various marathons that he has participated in around Canada and the USA. He has just returned from running the 2014 Boston marathon. I enjoy travelling and crafting. One of my current hobbies is iris folding cards and pictures which I have tweaked by using Japanese rice paper. You can also find me jogging along the dyke in Steveston with our daughter Emma on her bike, and the dog by my side.
We love our life in Steveston, but have to get away from the RAIN once in a while. In 2011 we purchased a condo in Maui, which is one of our favourite holiday destinations.

We became 'hooked' on Maui after one of our best friends moved there shortly after high school. From our part of the world it is a relatively short six hour plane ride. Our daughter made her first trip out at 18 months.
We decided to buy in this location because:
1) we LOVE Maui
2) we are sick of the RAIN at home
3) our unit is a 5 minute walk to the beautiful, sandy Kamaole beaches.
4) we can walk to restaurants and have a drink and not worrying about driving back.
Our unit is centrally located in SUNNY, south Kihei which is only a quick 5 minute walk to Kam I and Kam II beaches. It is also a 10-minute walk to many bars, restaurants and shopping complexes such as Kukui Mall and Kihei Town Center.
Kukui Mall has theatres and a StarBucks. Grab a latte and head down to the beach for an early morning stroll.
Kihei Town Centre has Foodland where you can pick up all the groceries you will need for your stay. It also has two great upscale restaurants, Sansei and Aroma D'Italia. Sansei is one of my favourite restaurants on Maui and offers innovative Japanese cusine. Aroma D'Italia is a seafood pasta restaurant. I love the Italian sodas here.

My fiancé and I would like to tell you guys that we had a wonderful time at your condo. We loved every minute of our vacation and it started with your beautiful condo in kihei. It was more than we could ask for when coming home from a day at the beach or exploring Maui. It had every amenity that we could ask for. We would love to stay at your condo again on our next trip to Maui. Thank you again and hope to stay at your condo again.
We travelled with our 1yr old son and had a great time staying here. It was just what we needed at a very affordable price. Clean, easy, and comfortable! Easy access to the rental from the parking spot was a bonus. We would definitely stay again! :)

We stayed in this condo in September of 2014. This was our second visit to Maui and the 3rd property we stayed at on the island. It was also the cheapest.
Overall it was a positive experience and definitely great value for $ and so we would recommend it on that basis alone. The location is a very short walk to Charley Young beach (great for morning walks and turtle spotting as well as $10 morning yoga classes on the grass on Thursdays and Sundays) and Cove Park (surf and paddle board rentals) which is great for those who love water and being active. Other positives included an updated kitchen with a gas stove (think fast heat up time), updated bathroom and air conditioning.
This being said, we initially planned for 2 adults to stay at this property, which would have been adequate but at the last minute, 2 more adults decided to join us and we will not lie that it ended up being a tight squeeze. With 4 adults, 4 suitcases, 1 bag full of kiteboarding gear, 1 large dining table and a roomy pull out bed, manoeuvring around the condo was definitely required. This is by no means the condo's fault, rather our own doing, however, bear in mind that if you are a party of 4 adults, a 2 bedroom condo elsewhere is most definitely a better idea. Plus the patio set on the lanai only seats 2, BUT, because there is no additional charge for the +2 we once again give this condo THUMBS UP in the cost saving department.
Overall, we would recommend it to couples only or couples with a small child, and those who are not fussed about being water front or living in luxury (the condo is basic and adequate), preferring instead to save $ for all the activities available on the island.
This was a great home base for exploring Maui- close to beaches (I wish we were able to stay longer and make better use of the beach stuff that is available for guests) and central to other popular communities & activities. It is a short drive (20-25 minutes) to the airport and Costco for fuel and groceries. There are some great restaurants in Kihei (and don't forget the shave ice). You will want to rent a car so you can enjoy the beauty and diversity of the island. We never had a day in Maui that we didn't see a rainbow (or a visiting humpback whale!). Great memories made! I cannot say enough great things about this condo and it's wonderful owners! This is the second time my husband and I have stayed here and Leanna and Andrew are wonderful to work with! The condo is beautiful, kept up, clean and stocked with everything you'd need (towels, beach chairs, kitchenware, etc). What you see is what you get! It's within walking distance of popular shops, restaurants and beaches. We loved eating on the lanai and enjoying the beautiful weather. We've even recommended it to a few of our friends who are looking into Maui vacations! Thanks Leanna and Andrew!
We stayed for two weeks - and found this condo to be exactly what we were looking for. Close to everything with easy access to beach (walk or driving). We loved being able to cook all of our meals within the suite and didn't find the kitchen lacking anything. Made great use of the beach stuff including umbrella, cooler and chairs.
Would definitely stay again!
