We love the outdoors. . . hiking, ATVing, exploring. . . bird watching - and sailing in Seattle!
Rudi & Bert purchased this house in 2011
We were drawn to the beauty of the Long Valley scenery and the proximity to the surrounding National Parks.
Peaceful, quiet, & remote surrounded by 92 pristine acres of juniper and pine forest. 360 degree view from the top of a ridge off an 8' wrap-around deck. Pull up a deck chair and enjoy the view, catch some sun and then count the stars at night!
I just want to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at your home. It was the perfect family getaway location and the views were amazing. We will definitely be back!!
You won't be disappointed. More than reasonable. Made the pilgrimage from Indiana well worth it. It allowed us to visit National Parks 12, 13 & 14. Capitol Reef is beyond well worth the trip. The drive there is AWESOME! I had a lot of contact with the owners and they could not have been nicer or more helpful.
1. Very clean.
2. Inside have a lot of extra stuffs like blanket, sofar bed for extra guess.
3. Plenty room for kids running around.
I will going back in the future and stay at this place, the only part is the drive way is very hard to get in and out, and the thermostats is not working well. can't adjust the temperature. It is very hot inside, I think owner need to change the thermostats.
Weather was magnificent for our hiking adventure. Zion was as hot as it could be and as crowded as it needed to be. Bryce Canyon was by far my preferred destination. Hikes are plentiful and returning to your beautiful vacation retreat was so relaxing. Three couples and we each had our own private rooms with bath. We do our own cooking and the kitchen was well equipped. BBQing on the deck was an added plus as well as having it serve as our pre-dinner gathering spot! What a wonderful place to enjoy Utah's treasures.
As discussed at length here, the condition of this house is great and it is well supplied. We were a group of 8 with two children (ages 4 & 8). Both children loved running around the wraparound porch. The carpets are nice and soft which allowed our daughter to happily sleep on the floor with a sleeping bag.
Road is quite steep, but ok for 2wd rental cars.
Highly recommend wandering in the upper east canyon at Zion (the nearest section of the park to the house). We found a number of wonderful, lonely areas there. Also recommend Bryce Canyon Night Time Programs given 3-4 times a week.
We loved the house and enjoyed the porch and the well-appointed kitchen. The location was great for excursions to Bryce, Zion, and Antelope. Fishing was good at the horseshoe bend of the Colorado and Mammoth Creek.
Six adults rented the home for 6 days. The home is a very great place with a wonderful layout, no one was tripping over the other during our time. It's probably the best stocked rental property we have ever rented. Beautiful view from the wrap around deck overlooking the valley below. It was very convienent to travel to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park.
Great food in the town of Hatch and a fun 9 hole golf course in Mt Carmel about 33 miles away.
