We rent a cottage every summer, let me tell you this is no cottage but a beautiful home. I'm used to having to come in and clean to feel comfortable. This home was so clean and completely ready for us to start enjoying ourselves. The more time we spent there the more we fell in love with this place. My mother joined us for part of the vacation. I told her when she arrived you won't believe everything that they have thought of. I called my sister in law before she was supposed to come up and told her to pack light, they have thought of everything here. We are big on cooking fabulous meals and usually have to bring a good knife and pan to each rental. This kitchen is so stocked with everything you need to cook big family meals with ease. My 91 year old Grandpa came to the cottage everyday at 4 to hang out and eat dinner. He lives in Gladwin. We also appreciated how open the home is which made it seem big enough for all of us. My husband, myself, our kids 8, 5, & 2 rented but then had family members join us on and off during the week. There was plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. The location is a plus because its not too far north for family to come in and visit for a couple days. My brother joined us Friday and Sat and caught a huge pike, fishing off the paddle boat. It was so big some neighbors came down to look at it. The neighbors on both sides were very friendly. Although the beach area is not very big it was perfect for us. On and off we had 7 children all under the age of 8 and all of the adults felt completely comfortable and safe with relaxing on the deck watching the kids play in the water. There is seaweed in the cove but the seaweed is not on the beach or beach swimming area until you go out deeper. The lake is very peaceful with very little boat traffic. Everybody had a chance to swim off the pontoon, even my two year old son and niece. I have never been so relaxed on any vacation we have taken. The cottage has everything you could need and more. The only thing that I can say negative is that the beds are not comfortable. My husband and 8 year old slept in a tent one night on an air mattress. Fine with us because she has been wanting to "camp". You can run into town quickly for groceries. We love Buckeye Market. We didn't go anywhere else because we didn't want to leave the property. Lastly Lin, the manager was very easy and professional to work with. Thank you!
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and created a lovely lasting family memory. The house is wonderful, inside and out. It is clean and decorated a modern, yet simple way that helps leave behind life's daily stresses. I loved the openness, natural sunlight and view of the lake. Just sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee and watching the ducks go by was a great way to unwind. There is also plenty to do in the area and my daughter enjoyed the small beach area in front of the cottage and at Sugar Springs. I so appreciated being able to bring my elderly dog and appreciate renters who know that our pets are family members. He was in his glory and given that he is near the end of his life, I would not have been able to take a vacation without him. Our only regret is not being able to stay longer!
The place is great and the location is even better. We loved the lake. Excellent for fishing and boating. Had a good view and enjoyed morning coffee on the deck listening to the loons. We will definitely be going back. The small beach area was great for the kids. My only small complaint would be the mattresses needed upgrading in all rooms. It made for some rough nights and sore backs in the morning....maybe i'm just used to my home mattress. It was clean, well maintained, and easy to get to. Loved the indoor pool on the one rainy day we had and the golf course looked awesome, even though I didn't get to play.
This is a very clean home with many amenities. We very much enjoyed our stay and appreciated that the owner is pet friendly. We enjoyed the pontoon boat rental and kayaking on a local river. Highly recommend.
Great place for a vacation. Beautiful lake front property. The property management are very helpful and accommodating.
Our weekend was everything we wanted it to be. It was beautiful
with fresh snow up north. The home was spacious and exactly what was described online. Our stay was relaxing and was stocked with everything we would want for a weekend get away.
The house was clean and the lay out was convenient and easily accessible.I would definitely recommend this property to a friend and look forward to returning in the future.
