!!!BEST OCEAN FRONT VALUE ON BONAIRE!!!
Villa Trepanier is also one of the only waterfront houses walking distance ( 700 meters ) from all the towns central action.
“Villa Trepanier”, is a modern 2200 square foot, seaside 3 bedroom house on the Caribbean Island of Bonaire. This quiet, modern, glass walled Villa is bright, airy and located just 12 meters from the waters edge.
Some of the best WORLD CLASS DIVING and SNORKELING in the world, can be enjoyed JUST 25 STEPS FROM OUR FRONT DOOR to the waters edge.
This WATERFRONT VILLA'S style inside is bright with clear pastel sunlight permeating the main living room and front porch, with lots of air flowing; clean and minimalist, with cool stone floors, leather couches and glass tables accenting the granite kitchen. The Villa has 3 bedrooms set up with queen sized beds, with the master bedroom having an extra single bed. So you can sleep 7 in 4 beds.
There are 2.5 bathrooms. No tubs. The master bedroom has its own private bathroom. The second largest complete bathroom is shared; communicating with the middle room (smallest room) and the third larger room. Both bathrooms have walk in showers.
The 3rd bathroom is accessable from the main hallway. This half bathroom has a toilet and sink only. There is also an outdoor shower on the patio for rinsing after a swim or dive.
For the diving fanatic, Bonaire offers some of the best diving on the whole planet. Just consider the area in front of the Villa, your own personal backyard aquarium.
The sea life is amazingly diverse right in front of the house in just 5 feet of water! I have even named our favorite fish that can be fed by hand, daily, while enjoying morning swims. (you will find some driftwood and sea glass artwork that I have made, that was inspired by my interactions with my local finned friends!) If you swim 25 meters out from the shore of the house, the bottom drops off quite fast, and turns into a wall dive pretty quick!
Magnificent soft hued sunsets are the evening norm. The quality of the light is very magical in Bonaire & can be enjoyed from the patio with a glass of wine in hand.
If you like eating fresh local fish, just walk a 100 meters down to the fishing docks and befriend a local fisherman.
The front patio view is of boats on moorings and pastel colored sunsets, all framed by coconut trees with the backdrop being Bonaire’s white beached, uninhabited Klein Island.
For a few dollars a local will ferry you across the 1000 meter wide Bay to Klein Island where you can lazily beach comb & explore its desolate and untouched white sandy beaches.
For the kids; there is a pool behind the Villa, and the beach in front of the house has no surf, (it’s the leeward side of the island) and no strong current to fight as well.
Villa Trepanier is centraly located north from the center of Kralendijk, the largest and main town on the island. If you don’t want to rent a car, all major daily activities can be enjoyed, walking distance from all of the islands mains shops, banks, video stores, cell phone stores, boutiques, wine store, waterfront bars, waterfront restaurants, supermarkets, outdoor fruit market (you can walk down to score fresh fruit straight off the boats from Venezuela) and even a little health food store.
For exploring the island, a rental car, quad, scooter or bikes can be rented to enjoy the warm sunshine and predominant cool trade winds. There’s even a place up north where you can rent land yachts and buggy around at crazy speeds. We usually rent a scooter from Jack at the “The Bike Shop” 20$ to $35 per day for a weekly rental. Scooters are safe as no one drives very fast and there is virtually no traffic, only one or two traffic lights dot the whole quiet little island.
For windsurfers Lac Bay is a 20 minute ride from the Villa. One of the best locations in the world to get your ride on, Bonaire’s Lac Bay produces many of the top Pro Windsurfers on the planet. Lac Bay’s azure clear water, flat and shallow, along with its friendly white sandy bottom, and famously consistent sea breezes, make it the perfect place to perfect your jibes and freestyle moves. That’s why it is called Jibe City.
A rider learning can watch the top pro’s perfecting their newest futuristic moves just meters away.
I also enjoy kiteboarding and renting SUP’s (Stand up paddle boards) for exploring Lac Bay as it seems every time we go on the water we see another edition to the amazing diverse collection of wildlife in the ocean.
The majority of the island is underdeveloped with the north end protected as a National Park. The Island is home to wild Donkeys, Goats, Iguanas & Flamingoes which have been surviving on the islands since it was first “discovered” (while inhabited by local Indians) by the Spanish over 500 years ago. Each time I drive around we make sure to bring leftovers and feed the wild donkeys and goats roaming around.
The best part of Bonaire is that it is one of the safest islands in the Caribbean. It is super quiet and would not be considered a tourist trap, like some of the other islands. (There is secure private underground parking attached to the back of the Villa for your rental car or truck packed with diving gear)
The locals are genuine, friendly and very laid back, not like the rest of the Caribbean where you have to be careful. The water is amazingly clear, bathtub warm and the local fish super timid and friendly; just take a piece of bread to feed them when you go snorkeling and they will be following you around like the neighbors dog.
Rental diving gear at the islands largest dive shop just 100 meters walk out the front door. We offer a10% discount on air.
Come on down and seriously chill out in paradise and load up on some well deserved Vitamin D. Villa Trepanier perfect for families: sleeps 7, (3 bedrooms each with queen sized beds and one single bed, besides 2 big couches). Best snorkeling.
Laundry token can be bought at the seaside front desk. Laundy machines are in a room adjacent to our underground garage.
I have been all around the world, 76 countries and counting! Bonaire is one of my favorite places and a very special island! Bonaire is quiet, very safe, the locals super friendly, gracious, respectful, making everyone feel like one of the FAMILY!. I love to Windsurf, Kitesurf and Snorkel (Bonaire, especially right in front of the house offers some of the best snorkeling in the world) and Bonaire offers awesome diving and snorkeling conditions year round. The temperature is stable mid 80's year round. The water perfect temperature ...
I wanted a Caribbean house that I would enjoy visiting when I needed to get away from the daily grind of life. Bonaire is always warm and my beautiful home is right 'On' the water. Villa Trepanier is less than 15 meters from the edge of the water; a short walk to all the main town has to offer, (I rarely rent a car-I prefer to go everywhere by walking or scooter; waterfront bars, waterfront restaurants and shopping. Some of the best snorkeling in the world. Also I am ex-pro windsurfers and the windsurfing in Lac Bay is awesome, with Bonaire producing some of the best windsurfing athletes in the world. Kitesurfing, windsurfing, SUping, snorkeling, diving, exploring, fishing, great restaurants and friendly locals!
I love the fact that you take a 5 minute cab ride from the airport, drop your bags at the door, slip on the swim trunks and can be snorkeling in 30 seconds of walking in the Villa-with our local tropical fish. The Villa is across a one way street from the water. I also love the sound of the waves, and enjoy watching the world go by from the front porch. Amazing sunsets from the patio. The light is very special in this part of the caribbean. Its a Tropical paradise. Best snorkeling on bonaire right out the front door. Dive instruction right next door at the largest dive shop on Bonire,'Dive Friends- (just changed its name form Yellow Submarine) a 30 second walk from our villa. The Villa is close to the best waterfront restaurants and bars all within short walking distance to our villa. Paradise!
Kitesurfing and Supping are also available to do on the island.
