Lakeview Lodge is located on Big Hills Lake, a sand bottom crystal clear boating, swimming and fishing lake in the heart of Waushara County, just 1-1/2 hours north of Madison, 2 hours north of Milwaukee, 4 hours north of Chicago, and 1 hour north of Wisconsin Dells. This lakeside lodge is breathtaking. The 5-bedroom log home is hidden in the woods and boasts 28' tall cathedral ceilings in the great room, dining room, and kitchen. It offers 5 bedrooms and a loft with a massive stone fireplace in the great room that compliments the breathtaking view over the lake. The lower level family room includes a wet bar, and a full size ping pong table. The house features a fully equipped deluxe kitchen, washer & dryer, 1 gas grill, fire pit, 5 TVs w/ Dish network, VCR & DVD players, huge wrap around deck w/ beautiful outdoor furnishings, ping pong table, swimming raft, pier, and canoe. WIFI available at additional cost. Lakeview Lodge is a short 5 mile drive from Nordic Ski Hill where your family can enjoy snowboarding, down hill skiing, cross country skiing and tubing.

Family Winter Get-a-Way

There were 8 adults and 5 kids sharing the Lakeview Lodge for three nights at the end of February. The house was spacious and accomodated our group very well without ever feeling crowded. The large screen porch was a huge benefit, even in the winter. Why? It was a great collection point for the 13 family member's snow pants, coats, boots, extra beverages, and general storage. The hot tub was rarely without an occupant - it is by far the kid's favorite feature. The guys tried their luck at ice fishing without much luck, but there is fun in trying! We used the kitchen to cook all our meals, but did eat out Friday night for a fish fry. We ended up at Oakwood Supper Club, which was only about an 8 minute drive. The food was excellent and the atmosphere great - the paintings on the walls were great and there was a huge game room in the lower level for the kids to entertain themselves while we waited for our food. Our whole group went tubing at Nordic Mountain and loved it. What a great winter activity so close by that truly requires no skill (unlike skiing). The house met all our needs and more. Thank you for sharing a wonderful rental so we could enjoy a relaxing weekend as a family!

The beauty of the home, the lake, the surroundings truly made this summer vacation the best ever. Your hospitality and generosity has marked a special place in each one of us. Had a wonderful time. Beautiful cabin. Worked great for our family-Grandma and Grandpa and their four children and their families. Enjoyed the hot tub! Did some "Polar Bear Plunges" since the ice was open close to the shore.

I have rented a cabin in Wisconsin for the past three years-and nothing compares to this home. It is very beautiful and has so much space! I can't wait to come here in the summer.
