Overview

Traverse City Cottage Rental Photos and Description

1300 sq. ft, 3 Bedrooms, 1.5 Bathrooms, Sleeps 8-10

Enjoy all the comforts of home in classic northern Michigan style! This spacious, well-maintained vacation home has everything you need for a carefree, peaceful retreat or family getaway. It's conveniently located just 15 - 20 minutes from Traverse City on Duck Lake Peninsula - a beautiful wooded community surrounded by lake views, great for walking, biking, boating, or just relaxing and getting away from it all. Close to town, yet peaceful and quiet, away from crowds and traffic. Duck Lake is a beautiful 1900-acre lake with a sandy bottom; if your group enjoys watersports or fishing, you can be on the water in minutes any time you wish, and on one of the best all-sports lakes in the area. A private boat launch is located just a short distance from the cottage; a lake access area is located across the street for swimming and lakeside picnics. In the evening, cook up a feast for your group in our fully-equipped kitchen or outdoors on the gas grill. Enjoy a backyard campfire, or relax by the fireplace while watching your favorite movie or sporting event! Large windows and sliding glass doors provide ample daylight or privacy as needed, with easy access to decks on front and back. Additional amenities for your comfort and convenience include high-speed internet, central air and heat, ceiling fans, soft water, full-size washer and dryer, and more.

What makes this cottage unique

This beautiful lakeside community includes five lake accesses, a free private boat launch, quiet low-traffic streets, and a community recreation area with playground, covered pavilion, tennis court, basketball court, and volleyball net. This cottage is a great option for those who don't need the expense of a waterfront property to enjoy all that the Traverse City area offers.

Outstanding!!

  • 5 of 5

Not sure where the lady from PA stayed but this summer will be our 3RD trip to this exact rental home. We couldn't be happier with the accommodations and the owners are absolutely the best to deal with. They check in with us and when we couldn't figure out the fireplace the 1st year they sent out the maintenance guy who hooked us right up. PLEASE do not take the review from PA to heart...this place is great!!

EXCELLENT!!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is kept in an excellent state by the owners...they make sure you have everything you need and let you know what isn't available. The neighbors were nice enough to come over and offer for our boat to be moored at their dock during our stay. Quiet neighborhood but close enough to Traverse City for supplies and fishing on the bay. We had an excellent time, was quite comfortable and plan to return next year. With my father being ill the past year we have rented quite a few places and this is by far the cleanest and most comfortable that we've experienced. WELL DONE Lisa & Steve!!

Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was clean. The kitchen was great. We made most of our meals there. There is a shower in the laundry room which is very convenient especially with children. The area was quiet and peaceful.

The location was great. We were close to grocery stores and gas stations. Traverse City was close by we went there a few times. One day we rented a pontoon boat on Torch Lake. Visited Sleeping Bear Dunes. We had a picnic at a park in Suttons Bay. There were also days of hanging out and relaxing at the cottage taking walks, reading books, watching movies, taking naps, making smores.

We didn’t want to leave. It’s a place we would recommend to others and would go back again.

Family Fun Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our Family wanted to get away for the weekend. We looked on line and found this cottage.

It was very quiet and well maintained – It was fully stocked with everything you needed.

Except towels and Food (which we knew)

Traverse City, Leelanau Peninsula and the Old Mission Peninsula were close by.

So if you’re going for wine tasting or shopping or just need to get-a-way, this is a great place-

Thank You for allowing us to rent your Cottage.

Memories galore for our family!

  • 4 of 5

We spent a lovely time in this Traverse City Area cottage. We took advantage of various entertainment opportunities in the area, along with taking many walks, runs, etc. on the peninsula. The neighbors were friendly & welcoming in the surrounding homes that were lived in, during our stay. It was a peaceful area & provided us a great place to get away & relax. The owners checked with us early in our stay to see if we had questions, concerns, needs. We appreciated their checking with us. We visited Sleders, Boone's & the Traverse City Pie Co. for several of our meals, along with local fast food locations, in addition to using the firepit for hobo pies & somemores. The cottage was well supplied in the kitchen area for our needs for additional meals that we prepared.
