My wife and I along with another couple had a great week staying at this apartment in Riomaggiore! The place is very large, clean, and inviting. The view from the rooftop patio is beautiful, and the location is great. The owner was also quick to respond and easy to communicate with -- highly recommended!
The deck was wonderful. It was most of the roof. The view was great from the deck, and if it was sunny we had a canopy we could roll out. One evening we decided to buy local pasta and have dinner out on the deck. The view was better then from any of the restaurants, and we were "home" for the night. Lots of steps up to the apartment ( 57 by my count from the road), but you are in Cinque Terra. . We probably were doing 1000 steps up and 100 down to go between towns, so the steps up to the apartment fit in with the neighborhood. Nice apartment inside. It has 2 bedrooms, and is well furnished. It is much more comfortable than a hotel room!
I had a fantastic stay in the apartment. The apartment was very well appointed and the views were perfect. I ended up staying by myself and always felt safe and well taken care of. I enjoyed making a few meals in but mostly spent most of my time exploring the 5 towns during the day and into the evening. I am glad my accommodations were off the beaten path so that I could sit and watch a lot of the italian everday day life happen around me. Carol was great to work with and Simone told me everything I needed to help me around the town and get acclimated. He even helped with my luggage up the stairs, etc to the apartment because I was very tired and had been traveling with no sleep for the past nineteen hours. The property is well maintained, clean and very comfortable. The train station close enough to use every day, sometimes twice. I would recommend this property to friends if they were to stay in the Cinque Terra area.
