Welcome to the Point Break Beach House – a custom built two-level family vacation rental home centrally located in the world renowned surf location of Pleasure Point in Santa Cruz. For some, the idea of beginning the day by surfing is just a dream – but for locals of Pleasure Point, it is a way of life. This small surf community is located in unincorporated Santa Cruz County, snugly located between Moran Lagoon and 41st Avenue, and adjacent to the magnificent Monterey Bay. Nearly a dozen famous surf breaks make this an ideal location for skilled surfers – and the perfect location for your next vacation at the beach!
The Point Break Beach House was built in 2008 and features a reverse floor plan complete with two lavishly appointed master suites downstairs, each with its’ own fireplace and king sized bed. There is lower landscaped grassy oasis that is partially shaded – the perfect place for sunbathing or relaxing. This home features a spacious great room and an open kitchen and dining area with soaring ceilings and lots of light - complete with outdoor deck and built-in BBQ – for those guests with discriminating palates who are looking to prepare that delicious home cooked meal after a great day at the beach.
The Point Break Beach House has 2300 generous square feet, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The upstairs bunkroom has 2 sets of bunk beds and the office/den hides a queen-sized Murphy bed – just off of the main living area. The efficiency of this home is nearly perfect for two families, or a multi-generational family traveling together. The home owner’s have put a great deal of time, energy and thoughtful consideration into the layout, furnishings and style of the Point Break Beach House and it is abundantly clear that this vacation rental is of truly one of high caliber and comfort!
Ocean views are had from several rooms and the upstairs deck, and just 8 doors from the beach – and a straight flat walk to the stairs at 38th Avenue Beach, this particular beach is great for surfing, boogie boarding, people watching and relaxing while overlooking the majestic Monterey Bay. The Point Break Beach House is easily walking distance to the 41st Avenue promenade and its’ selection of shops, restaurants, cafes and retail establishments. Capitola Village is just a 5 minute ride away, and was voted among the “Top 5 Favorite Beach Towns” by Sunset Magazine. Several bike and surfboard rental shops are within walking distance and the historic Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is about a 10 minute drive or bike ride away.
You may wish to take some surfing lessons, or charter a sailboat and view the coastline from the beautiful Monterey Bay. Play a round of golf at well-renowned Pasatiempo Golf Course – voted #11 by Golf Magazine’s “Top 100 Courses You Can Play”. Afterwards – you may wish to pick up some fresh local fish at the Wharf and have our private chef grill it up on the Point Break Beach House’s outdoor grill. After a day of sports and sunshine, in-house massage services can be ordered to ease your cares away. The redwood mountains and California State Parks are about a 15 minute drive away. Here you can enjoy some of the oldest redwood trees in all of Northern California.
