My family absolutely enjoyed our time in this house/estate in Mae Rim, Chiang Mai. The surroundings were serene and picturesque, and were a great start to our adventure. Watching the boys playing in the pool with the openness of the rice paddies beyond seemed like paradise. The bedrooms were very spacious, with the upstairs having balconies overlooking the rice paddies to the mountains. There was generous space for each member of the family to find their own retreat, and well laid out for the family to come together.
A big thank you to Aly who assisted us in organizing our daily activities, and with her helpers kept the estate in pristine condition.
We found a couple of restaurants nearby, which we found the food to be delicious, cheap and generous with their quantities.
The house had great Wi-Fi, which helped the boys with their daily dose of internet.
We highly recommend to visit this part of Thailand and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. My family will have fond memories of this property and the experiences we had in the village for years to come.
Stayed with friends and teenagers. Everything was perfect for our stay. The house is beautiful and I particularly enjoyed the garden spaces. Lots of room inside and out for gathering or private time whichever is your choice at the moment. The main house is very large with great spaces for everyone. The 2 bedroom cottage is perfect for those in the group who wish to be a bit more private. Lounging by the pool with the adjacent rice paddies in front of you is such a relaxing feeling. The teens were easily able to head out for a birthday celebration on their own. We were well looked after by Laura and her staff tending to any request we had. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!
I am in a small book club with 4 friends. Every two years we go somewhere together (with our partners) and this year we picked Chiang Mai. We chose this property mainly because of the location, it is in the countryside, about 15 k from Chiang Mai, which is a lovely town in the mountains of Thailand.
Two couples stayed in the cottage, which has two suites and a kitchenette, and the others stayed in the main house. The rooms are comfortable and larger than they look on the website. The views are great, there's a spectacular pool and a 'massage sala' with traditional Thai massages. The place is very clean and well run.
It was a good choice - the guys played golf and explored the area while we had our 'book-club' by the pool. We ended up spending most of our evenings at the bar on the terrace but did make it into Chiang Mai and to the Tiger Kingdom. Make sure to visit the Old Town and check out the night market.
I used this large Thai style house to host a 2 day retreat for the top performers of my company in Thailand. It is large enough to house a small to medium sized group, and gave us both the privacy we needed, but also the communal space required for the events and bonding exercises. The kitchen supported group meals (western and Thai cooking), and the garden was great for team activities. The staff raved about the view, the clean air (we work in Bangkok), and spent downtime lounging by the pool. Many thanks to Laura for helping set up what was a rewarding visit.
We are group of friends (Germany & Austria) who meet up every year to explore new countries. This year we chose Chiang Mai. We were lucky to choose this property. It gives you a lot of privacy with its spaciousness. The whole place was very clean, comfortable and nicely done. We were not bothered by anyone, but there was always someone available on call if we needed something.
It was very close and convenient to get to different golf courses around. The property was perfect for our stay and I would definitely recommend it to others.
We booked this house for two weeks to use for our family (2 small kids) also for friends to stop by with their family, as well as three days with my parents.
The location was good, just out of town, and close to Chiang Mai's attractions. Our friend's teenagers found it easy to head downtown for fun, as did we for a day of exploring the market and a couples' dinner-evening. When we weren't in the city we cooked at the house, or visited the local restaurants which were close enough to get to without a fuss.
Most days we enjoyed the pool and rolling green scenery and found the location relaxing, and serene. Dad and I agreed the nearby golf courses were a treat. If you get a chance, the walking street and night bazaar are fun for the whole family, so is going to Doi Su Thep temple up the mountain.
The property was clean and well kept, the beds were fresh, as were the towels, and the utilities were in good condition. The local girl/concierge was helpful in setting us up and seeing to us when needed. Best of all was the space, which suited the children and us for time in the garden.
The property is large enough to host a family or several, even if it rains and you must all stay indoors for the day. It would also suit a getaway for adults seeking a spot close enough to the city to enjoy its charms whilst also giving a proper getaway into Thailand's natural beauty.
Beautifully located just North of the city in an exclusive suburb near most tourist attractions of Chiang Mai including, X-centre, Tiger Kingdom, elephant camps, waterfalls, monkey & snake camps and the lovely Four Seasons Hotel. World class golf just five minutes away.
