Pierpaulo is my property manager but this is my home so a little about me. I travel all over the world, its my favorite thing to do, but there is no place like home in Woodstock. I moved my family here in1986 after working 10 years in NYC as a graphic designer. Recently I've explored photography for fun and have had a few shows with good responses, but my art form has always been ceramics. My brother is a master potter in Woodstock and has taught for 17 years, I work in clay to keep myself centered not fed. My other passion is working with people to find them their new home in the Hudson Valley. I started a real estate company in 1990 and its grown to the largest company in two counties, Ulster and Greene. My five offices (Woodstock New Paltz, Windham, Kinston and Stone Ridge) are all galleries that rotate the works of area artists the public to visit and welcome new visitors with suggestions and information on what's happening. My husband and I have very active lives, he is a serious bike rider and I am not so serious but not a slouch eir. We both prefer to see the world on a bike or if that's not possible we will hike and walk. We built our house and did most of the design work, I have gutted and rehabbed at least 10 properties and did minor work to lots more to either keep or re-sell
We built our home in 1999 and in 2007 the 3 acres had two cottages next door and was was on the market so we wanted to buy them for our children. They really needed work so we gutted the Little Red Apple and did EVERYTHING! I laid the tile in the bath and kitchen and we super insulated it, changed windows new kitchen and baths. designed the hand made closets and put in skylights. We did it as if we would live in the house ourselves. I take pride in knowing that people who want to visit Woodstock want to have a home off the road with some privacy and be able to walk to town in a few minutes. Its exactly why we live in the same spot. Another plus is there is one other house on the road so you are not totally isolated, it is not close by but a good distance away. The other cottage is rented to our very dear friend who lives there alone and is really helpful if you need anything but otherwise you won't see him, he's the perfect neighbor.
Walk to everything, you really don't need a car if you are staying local. 10 Minutes from the house to town, 3 minutes to the best swimming hole in Woodstock, if you want it can accommodate 7 people. Kids seem to love the loft and the yard its very kid and pet friendly house. There is also a little stream that trickles all year at the edge of the property that is fun for little ones to explore
