It's a three bedroms, one full bathroom, two 3/4 bathrooms. The finished basement has a extra room with a futon. It also has a couple couches where you can choose to hang out or sleep. The master bedroom has a king bed, one bedroom has a queen bed and the other has two twin beds. There is no TV service but we have a TV and DVD player.
It's on a recreational lake (Little Bear Lake) which is very clean, you just have to go down the stairs to access it. You can swim at the bottom of our stairs or walk 5 minutes to get to the beach. There's a boat launch at the beach. Fishing with kids on the docks at the beach is awesome, lots of sunfish. In the lake, Northerns, Bass, Panfish, big crappies. Little Bear Lake is part of Voyageur Village. You can go to the Club House for dinner, play golf or use the pool. Lots of great ATV trails in the area. If you have any questions at all, send me an email. I'm happy to send more pictures. If you want, please give me your phone number and I'll call you. There's a few restaurants close by and grocery stores are about 20 minutes away. Watch gorgeous sunsets from the screened in porch.
Webb Lake/Danbury is approx 2 hours from the Minneapolis/St-Paul. MSP or Duluth would be the closest commercial airline airports.
We're a family of four. This cabin is a place where we escape often on weekends and during the summer. Little Bear is a very clean lake where we enjoy fishing, water skiing and water tubing. The rest of the time the Twin Cities area is where we call home.
Lucie Hunter purchased this cottage in 1995
The beauty area and the close by airstrip for general aviation planes drew us to Voyageur Village.
for pilots the airstrip is about 2 miles away. Another benefit that can be of use to anyone is the use of the Club House whether you want to play golf, go swim in the pool or have a meal at their restaurant.
Nice cabin with alot of room for relaxing. No Cable but a great selection of movies. Great place to stay if you have ATV's. You can ride them on most of the paved roads and get to the offroad trails. You can even ride them right into town. It would also be a great place to bring your bikes. There is a bar right up the road that serves wonderful burgers and cocktails. The stairs down to the water are not "young child" friendly so be careful. The beach down the road is WONDERFUL so no real need to get down to the lake right from the cabin anyway. But if you do, there are some nice bass to be caught! The loft bedroom is the best with a super comfy bed. Our family of 4 spent alot of time playing games in the screened porch. The ping-pong table downstairs was also a big hit. The main lodge at Voyager has a great pool and yummy breakfast. The owner was super responsive and helpful.
We spent a week in the fall with our kids. They loved playing in the sand in the front. We had fun walking to the beach. At night we enjoyed the cry of the loons. The foliage was beautiful early October. We rented ATVs one day. GREAT trails. On the day it rained we went swimming at the club house about two miles away. Owners are super nice and helpful, highly recommend.
