This very well maintained 2500 sq.ft. Colonial home is on it's original setting in a quiet residential neighborhood of West Haven, CT which is known all along the Long Island shoreline for it's beautiful beaches.
It is a beautiful venue for a wedding whether the ceremony is on the beach a half-block down the hill in the nearby Savin Rock Gazebo, or on the lovely Sea View property followed by plenty of room for a reception rain or shine. (We even have a Justice of the Peace on staff to perform the ceremony!)
The spacious kitchen is a chef's and caterer's delight with sliding doors open to a huge deck with a natural gas barbecue grill and plenty of room for eating and relaxing.
Available winter or summer, the traditional home has a family-room fireplace and a cozy stove in the kitchen.
The upstairs loft bedroom has a queen-size bed and its own full bath and a magnificent ocean view. A bedroom with a triple bunk and a single bed is perfect for kids or adults. Two other bedrooms provide a queen-size bed and futon and an up-stairs sitting room with a queen-size convertible sofa.
This property is family-friendly with plenty of beach chairs, toys, and games for all.

I have had resort properties in Colorado and Arizona and owned and operated a Bed and Breakfast at my alma mater in Ames, Iowa. As a corporate manager at IBM, Eastman Kodak and The Vanguard Group, I appreciate the importance of finding nice home-like environments for vacations and getaways with family and friends. I conduct workshops and boot camps for women who want to learn how to manage their finances. As a writer of magazine articles and a published book, 'Everywoman's Money:Less Debt, More Cash', I enjoy speaking to women's groups and am working on my first fiction book.
Since I live in New York City, I wanted to find a vacation home that was within a two-hour drive or train ride to relax away from the busy city. Exploring the Connecticut coast of the Long Island Sound, I discovered that West Haven offered a friendly community of long-time residents. The beaches are beautiful and the close proximity of several colleges and Yale University offers year-round activities and entertainment.
During the summer the beach down the hill and the quiet neighborhood allow me to enjoy the very reasons I want to stay in my West Haven retreat. Wintertime is a delightful time to enjoy being inside cooking in my well-equipped kitchen, entertaining friends and playing games in front of the fireplaces while the snow falls outside.
