|Minimum Stay||4 nights|
One of the two large, half-floor, 3-bedroom apartments located on the 7th floor of a quiet building in the neighborhood of Condado, the heart of San Juan, with stunning beach views and a balcony facing the ocean.
The private apartment is located across the street from the beach (one block), right on Ashford Avenue, one of the most important avenues in the city. This apartment is in the middle of all the action, food and the best beaches that San Juan has to offer. You'll have access to all the best restaurants--local and international--casinos, bars and beaches all right outside the building's front door.
The spacious apartment is fully stocked and functional--with high-speed wifi internet, a 50-inch TV complete with cable and Roku (Netflix, Hulu Plus, Pandora,) and a fully stocked, large kitchen (forks, knives, plates, cups, pots and pans, spices for cooking, etc.).
The location is the perfect blend of island beach getaway and city convenience. Ashford Ave is home to upscale bushiness, such as Luis Vuitton, Coach and Salvatore Ferragamo, just as much as it's home to local hangouts, such as The Place, Small Bar and Stop and Go. You’re one quick block away from a Walgreen's and one quick block away from the calming sound of waves brushing up against the sand. You can’t beat it.
With your reservation you will be welcome to use the facilities at the most exclusive rooftop club in Condado, with an amazing pool, bar, food and amazing views of the Condado Lagoon--a unique opportunity. This club is not inside the apartment building, and the condominium does not have a pool on premiss.
The building is located right in front of a taxi stop and across the street from a bus stop, so you'll always have easy access to transportation to anywhere in the city. Though, you'll really only need that when visiting places like Old San Juan, the Convention Center, and cruise ship piers, because the apartment is within walking distance to anything you'll need (such as a supermarket, convince store, restaurants, churches, casinos, and bars, beaches, and water sports).
There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, a large kitchen with a breakfast area, a dinning room area, a very comfortable living room area with a queen-size sofa bed and a big balcony with seating. The building is elevator equipped.
The apartment has Wifi, air conditioning, a 50-inch TV with cable, Netflix, Hulu Plus and a DVD player, good books, and a fully equipped kitchen.
All bedrooms have air conditioning and black-out curtains.
The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, a large window where you can see the ocean and the avenue, and everything else that makes it a normal room. The second room has a full sized bed and a window where you can see the ocean, and the third room has a bunk bed with a pull out trundle for an independent twin bed.
The master bathroom has spectacular views of the ocean, and everything else that makes it a normal bathroom. It was recently remodeled to make it a brighter room. It has a shower and a bathtub. The second bathroom has a shower and everything else that makes it a normal bathroom. Bath towels are included.
The kitchen has a large refrigerator, a microwave, an oven with a stovetop, a Britta water filtration system, a toaster, a coffee maker and a coffee grinder—coffee included. Cups, plates, forks, knives, and spoons are also supplied. Grinded coffee and non-grinded coffee from the best coffee plantation here, Alto Grande, is provided. The pantry is stocked with basic cooking necessities like olive and vegetable oil, spices, flour, lots of raw pasta, and cereal. There is a breakfast bar in the kitchen that faces South.
The living room has a dinning table that seats six, two plush couches, and a desk. There is a 50-inch TV with cable, a DVD Player and a Roku to watch Netflix and Hulhu Plus and a bookshelf with a bunch of good books and DVD's. One of the couches pulls out to a queen-sized bed.
There are a couple of chairs and a small table on the balcony to watch the sunset and relax with a cold drink after a long day at the beach.
You'll find boutiques, coffee shops, bars, restaurants, casinos and music venues in the neighborhood. Five blocks away is the Placita de Santurce, where locals like to hang out, and near by to that is the largest art museum in San Juan.
It's nice to walk up and down the avenue, check out the beaches, have a coffee or lunch at a cafe, and catch a jazz band in the evening.
Taxis from the airport to the apartment. Public transportation out of the airport is possible but difficult, and impossible after 9 p.m. If you're not into the taxi situation, and I'm not working, I can pick you up for half the cost.
If you need anything during your stay, I'm just a call or text away. I live in a building close to this one, and work one block down the road.

I'm a journalist covering sports in PR for an international news-gathering organization. I was born in Puerto Rico and just moved back to the island after living in Boston. I love windsurfing, spending time on the beach and getting to know new places.
Sebastian Humbert purchased this apartment in 2013
Waking up to a beautiful, deep blue sky and clear blue waters has no price! It's only an added bonus that the apartment is in a super central, safe, and convenient location.
5 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes from the rainforest, and right across the street from the beach, and in a beautiful apartment-- it doesn't get much better than this.
What can be said that has not been said already!
The location could not be better. Right in the heart of everything! The beach is so close and you are living above the best places to eat and hang out in Condado. Old San Juan is right down the street, and, as recommended by Sebastian, on our fourth day we rented a car to head to the El Yunque Rainforest and we visited a couple of beaches he recommended. Sebastian was great to work with and always there when we needed him. He answered all of our questions during the trip and helped us out on things we didn't even think of. The apartment is well taken care of and is stocked with all of the basics we needed to feel at home-towels, toiletries, etc. It's also very large for an apartment, and the kitchen was certainly much larger than normal apartment style kitchens. The apartment itself was great, the location was great and we had an amazing time in Puerto Rico!
Overall, really happy we stayed here, would certainly recommend this amazing apartment, and cant wait to come back! Thank you!!
My girlfriends and I spent 5 nights in San Juan. The best part about this apartment is the location- its proximity to the beach, restaurants and taxi service made it very accessible and walkable. We felt safe in Condado and in this building and enjoyed having a more 'homey' place to stay in place of a hotel or resort.
My caveat with this place is that it came with a few surprises (full disclosure, this was our first time in a VRBO, so it's possible this is the norm). (1) There were no beach towels at all, as promised in the description, so we had to buy those (2) There were no paper towels, hand soap for either bathroom or soap for the showers. We also had to purchase TP on the second day because there wasn't enough to last us our full stay. (3) Sebastian was difficult to get a hold of, both before arriving and once in PR; but when I DID hear from him, he was quite helpful.
To sum up, this isn't a hotel, from both a customer service and overall experience perspective. We were surprised to have to purchase the items we did, but it did not tarnish the trip and we had a blast in Puerto Rico! I can't wait to return.
Came to Puerto Rico to celebrate my birthday and this apartment was the perfect "home away from home". Not only was it close to all the restaurants and stores but the beach was walkable distance as well. It was very clean and spacious and the furniture was very comfortable. The balcony is facing the main strip and you can get a view of the beach. Also minutes away from Old San Juan and airport. The owner was very nice and helpful, knew all the places to visit in Puerto Rico and was just a phone call away.
We initially wanted to stay in a house out of the city, but ended up getting this and another apartment on the same floor. I must say, it was the best decision ever. Our group consisted of a party of 5 women. We were celebrating a birthday and wanted a nice ambiance as well as location for our accomodations. I loved the furnishing the apartment. Very comfortable soft leather sofa couches that accomodated all 5 ladies during movie night. There were more than enough dishes, utensils and wine glasses for us to enjoy a glass of wine each. The apartment was very clean and spacious. We were also able to enjoy the small patio that overlooked the street in front of the building. I absolutely loved the art in the bedrooms. There was an elevator that we took to get to the apartment, and only if you had a key, you were allowed on that floor. We were provided with a parking space in a secured gated area. There were more than enough stores, restaurants and entertainment in the area. We didn't get to explore much of the Condado in the night because the apartment was so cozy, we stayed in, had wine and watched movies. The apartment is located in a central area. It was easy to find from the airport and we were able to drive to and from in 10-15 minutes easily with GPS help of course. Sebastian was a pleasure to have as our host. He helped us with all our questions and concerns upon arrival. Overall, we had an amazing stay. I would definitely return every time I visit Puerto Rico. Excellent!!!
I stayed here with 2 friends. It is a very beautiful apartment with tons of space and is in a great location. The owners are very pleasant and are always available if anything is needed. This apartment is located on the 7th floor and there is one other apartment on the same floor. We had a few other friends on our trip and they stay right next door. It's as if you have adjoining rooms. Perfect for a large group who needs extra rooms or perfect for couple just on a get away. I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing a place to stay in a centrally located area. Anything you could need is in very close distance.
Stayed for a week with my wife, our college-age daughter, and our oldest daughter with her husband and two little grandchildren. There was plenty of comfortable space in the apartment, we never felt like we were crowded, it quickly felt like home-away-from home. We love the Condado neighborhood and usually stay there when we vacation in Puerto Rico - close to the beach, close to pools, lots of restaurants and shops, great place for people watching, and a quick bus or cab ride to Old San Juan. Only downside for some people might be the street noise, but it didn't bother any of us or affect our sleep. Sebastian was helpful and responsive. Would definitely recommend him and this apartment.
