The house is located in a small but beautiful fishing village, Grundarfjörður that is surrounded by amazing mountains. The town itself is located on the Snæfellsnes peninsula and the location makes it an ideal stop to explore the beautiful landscape, majestic mountains, waterfalls, diverse bird life, lava fields, the open sea and Snæfellsjökull glacier.
Last four years whales have arrived in mid December and have remained until mid April where you can see the whiles from the land or have boat trips out into the fjord. This time of year is also good for aurora activity
The house is ideal for families and small groups. It’s 236m2, newly renovated with four bedrooms and can easily stay up to 6-7 persons. The living room is an open area with the kitchen and dining table. The kitchen is well equipped with refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, cooker, oven, microwave and a coffeemaker. There are two bathrooms, one contains a WC, bath and a sauna and the other contains WC and a shower. The laundry contains a washing machine and a dryer.
Around the house there is a terrace with a grill (gas) and garden furniture. Big playground is behind the garden with swings, sandbox and fun things for the children.
Only a few meters from the house there is a big playground with a football spot, swings, sandbox, and a playhouse for the kids.
Grew up in Grundarfjörður and still living there. Working at the local restaurant and finishing school.
I grew up at this house and would like others to experience my lovely town.
There is a great view from the balcony where you can relax and watch the sun go down behind the beautiful mountain Kirkjufell.

Only a few footsteps from the public swimming pool and all places of interest in town are within walking distance of 5-10 minutes.
The Snæfellsnes Peninsula is ahaven for migratory birds and birdwatchers.
The beautiful Snæfellsjökull Glacier in the National park is only 25 km away.
9 hole golf course is about 8 km out of town.
Horse riding is within walking distance.
