About Karen or Ray Stothers
Ray and Karen met at the top of Kootenay Lake in the small rural community of Johnson's Landing. After a weekend of the very best of fights, they proposed to each other and were married 3 months later. Nelson is the place they have chosen to raise their two boys.
Karen was born in Montreal and spent much of her childhood in Mississauga. She was schooled at Carlton and McMasters University. She is skilled at building community as was demonstrated by her time as a coordinator for Big Brothers and Sisters. And she has a passion for arts and crafts!
Ray was born in Calgary and grew up in Pentiction and Kamloops. His schooling was done at the University of British Columbia with an Honors Degree in Economics and a Masters of Physical Education in counseling. He fell in love with storytelling and spent almost twenty years as a touring professional.
Together they are entrenched in creating a thriving, relaxing, and meaningful community with their sons.
