An elegant, brick built, English family home with leaded windows located in an attractive but quiet street. With four well-equipped and carpeted bedrooms, sleeping up to 11. The 'Green' bedroom with a double bed has an en-suite shower cabin and wash basin, the large 'Yellow ' bedroom has a double bed and can also fit a cot plus one optional child's bed. or two optional child's beds. The 'Blue' bedroom has two single beds plus an optional child's bed and the Bunk Room has two full size single mattresses.

For maximum occupancy of 15, there are two single chair beds in the Dining room and a double sofa bed in the Lounge

On the first floor, there is a large family bathroom with shower over the tub, wash basin and toilet. Downstairs there is a separate toilet with hand wash basin plus another shower cabin and wash basin in the Utility Room.

A wooden babies cot with bedding, high chair, stair gate and changing mat are available on request.

The large lounge has comfortable leather sofas and armchairs, flat screen TV, DVD and video player whilst the large dining room has sliding doors onto the terrace overlooking the secluded rear garden. Well equipped modern kitchen with oven/grill, dishwasher, two fridges, microwave etc. Utility Room with shower cabin and wash basin plus freezer, washing machine & tumble drier.

If the weather is mild, the rear garden has sun loungers, tables, chairs and a parasol plus a large barbeque for summer use.. There is a child's play house and toys/games for all ages.

The house is easy walking distance to local supermarkets, shops, pubs and restaurants. Located on several red London bus routes with the bus stop just 150 metres away. Walking distance to two Central Line subway (tube) stations for shopping and restaurants in the Olympic Park (11 minutes) and London's West End (30 minutes) or City (20 minutes).

Why Jo, Elaine & Phil chose Redbridge

My sister Elaine & I now own the property which was our parents home. We have extensively refurbished, redecorated and refitted the property to accommodate up to 15 guests with a high level of comfort and facilities including quality bedding, linens and towels.

What makes this house unique

The house is set in one of the best streets in the area where it is quiet and has nice neighbors but very close to all local amenities. There is a large supermarket just 300 metres away on the next block - opposite the park with a children's playground. A five minute walk takes you to the local High Street with many shops, banks, restaurants and leisure facilities including swimming, tennis and a gym. The bus stop is just 150 metres and the house is also in easy walking distance to two Central Line tube stations. It is just an 11 minute journey to Stratford where you will find Europe's largest shopping mall and 30 minutes into the center for all of London's attractions, museums, shopping, theaters and restaurants.

Marvellous London home

Our family (from 8 to 80 years) had a great week - the house was spotlessly clean and was exactly as described - or even better! The owners were extremely helpful and their hospitality exceeded all our expectations.
I must admit, that at first I was wondering if a house in zone 4 of London underground might be too far away from the city center. - No need to worry. As central line trains come every 1-3 minutes you get to anywhere in the center within 45 minutes.
We could not have chosen any better home away from home. Many thanks to Josephine an Elaine!

Great Vacation House!

Our family of seven ages 11 - 71 spent a delightful week at 10 Hatley Avenue. The house was spotlessly clean and the bedrooms were beautifully decorated with excellent linens - sheets and towels. The kitchen was very well appointed with first class utensils from pots and pans, juicer, matching china and silverware, coffee makers, etc. Our hosts were very thoughtful and welcomed us with a fridge stocked with milk, eggs and fruit. We were delighted to find a complete spice cupboard with other essentials for cooking including olive oil, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce and almost anything else we might require for food preparation. We ate most of our meals out on the spacious and well furnished patio. Our grandchildren enjoyed playing out on the back lawn.
A major grocery store was a quick ten minute walk and the underground station was a twenty minute walk (although there was a regular bus going from the station to the house).
We heartily recommend 10 Hatley Ave. as a base for exploring greater London.

Simplemente perfecta / Just perfect

Hemos pasado once días en Londres y nos hemos alojado en esta magnífica casa.
Después de haber visto las fotografías y leído los comentarios tenía pocas dudas pero el resultado ha sido incluso mejor de lo esperado. La casa es maravillosa y completamente equipada, no se echa en falta absolutamente nada de lo necesario y mucho más. Las camas son muy cómodas y nos permitían descansar tras el día de visita a la ciudad. La cocina amplísima, y el salón, impresionante. Calefacción (que en los días fríos se agradece) y agua caliente en las tres duchas para que no haya peleas. Para acabar con la casa, el jardín es una delicia (si el tiempo acompaña).
La ubicación de la casa es muy buena. El barrio es tranquilo y hay tiendas cerca a las que se llega andando en pocos minutos. La comunicación con el centro está perfectamente cubierta por la línea Central del metro a la que se puede llegar andando o, mucho mejor, en el autobús (en un par de minutos)
No puedo dejar de hacer referencia a los propietarios. Desde el primer contacto a través de email me parecieron encantadores. Me resolvieron cualquier duda e incluso se encargaron de alquilar el minibús que nos llevó desde el aeropuerto hasta la casa (a mejor precio del que la compañía me pedía a mí haciendo directamente la gestión). Una vez allí nos recibió Phil y la impresión inicial se confirmó. Nos proporcionó guías suficientes para una larga estancia en la ciudad. Un verdadero placer haber tratado con ellos.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION
We spent eleven days in London and we have stayed in this magnificent house. Having seen the pictures and read the reviews had little doubt but the result was even better than expected. The house is wonderful and fully equipped, not missing anything necessary and more. The beds are very comfortable and allowed us to relax after a day visiting the city. The huge kitchen and living room, awesome. Heating (to on cold days thanks) and hot water showers in the three to not have fights. To end the house, the garden is a delight (weather permitting). The location of the house is very good. The neighborhood is quiet and close to shops is reached within a few minutes walk. Communication with the center is perfectly covered by the Central underground line which can be reached on foot or, much better, on the bus (in a couple of minutes) I can not fail to refer to the owners. From the first contact via email I found charming. I solved any questions and even took care of renting the van that took us from the airport to the house (a better price than the company asked me directly by management). Once there we were greeted by Phil and the initial impression was confirmed. It provided enough guidance for a long stay in the city. A real pleasure to have dealt with them. We enjoyed a great week in London with six children between us and their friends. Access to the tube was great with regular service to Central London and all the attractions. We also enjoyed great access to Docklands, Greenwich and the new Emirates cable car. The house was perfect for a large family and we were lucky to be able to sit out in the warm sunshine and BBQ. There wass everything in the house you could possibly need, and it felt very much a comfortable family home from home. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Wonderful well equipped spacious home

Property was exactly as described and pictured. Philip was extremely friendly and helpful, offering local pub recommendations and grocery stores. The entire house was very well equipped, including milk, juice, fruit, and bread so we didn't have to immediately go out to the store. House was spotless when we arrived. We would absolutely recommend the property. We are a family of 6 adults, and the house was a wonderful base for our 6 days in London. Central London is approximately 45 - 60 minutes from the house by subway, including a 15 minute walk to the station.

Owner's Response: Guests can also get to the tube (metro) station in 3 minutes using the local and frequent buses from the stop that is 150 yards from the house. The Tube journey is 11 minutes to Stratford (for the Olympic Park and Westfield, europe's largest shopping mall) 20 minutes to the City of London (for the Gherkin) and 32 minutes to Tottenham Court Road (for Oxford Street).

AWESOME HOSPITALITY!

The owners go above and beyond in terms of hospitality. We found a lovely welcome card alongside some basic breakfast items for our first morning upon arrival, and realizing we were arriving at 2am, they even pulled out the beds for us, made the beds, and even put two large and fluffy teddy bears on the kids' beds for us. The owner even received us in person at 2am.

Our group of 11 adults and a family of four (2 young children) was well-accommodated; there were enough toilets and showers to be comfortable, and the living room was even large enough to fit our entire group of 21 people for daytime meetings. (and there was enough tea, coffee, and tea cups and cutlery and plates to accommodate all of us!)

From the matching soaps and hand towels to the beautiful backyard and patio chairs, to the few childrens' books and random toys, (very useful for a family travelling and packing simply), to the clean interior and exterior, 10 Hatley is truly a very lovely place to stay in London.

Note: the owner Phil found one of our missing scarves and even mailed it back to us after we were gone!

Having someone set up such a wonderful living space for us allowed us to focus on what we came for: seeing the city and finishing up meetings.

This part of North East London borders on the county of Essex which has plenty of open spaces including Epping Forest, given to the people by Queen Victoria. There are many sport & leisure facilities available including swimming, golf, tennis, fishing, sailing and climbing. At weekends you can stroll to the top of the road and watch a game of cricket being played in the local park in the summer or soccer in the winter and there is also a childrens playground area with swings and slides etc.

The Olympic Park at Stratford is an 11 minute subway journey where you will find Europe's largest shopping mall. Another 20 minutes will take you to the West End of London where you can enjoy the best Theater, Musicals, Concerts, Restaurants and Shopping.
