Milarepa brings you back to nature with a relaxing and unique private beachfront setting. Located just north of the Cabo Blanco National Park on the unspoiled southern coast of the Nicoya Peninsula. Milarepa is a romantic tropical escape, set amongst the rainforest and coconut palms at the foot of the Pacific Ocean. Our beachfront property offers spectacular ocean views and unforgettable sunsets. The property consists of a pool-side open-air pavilion dinning room/ living room area, with an attached commercial kitchen and bathroom.. For lodging we have 4 Indonesian inspired bungalow-style bedrooms with open air, en suite bathrooms. The Bungalows are open to nature on all sides and are designed to sit harmoniously within this tropical beach environment. The antique four-poster beds are curtained with voluminous mosquito nets and cooled by overhead fans and feature 300 thread count Egyptian cotton linens. The primary building materials are bamboo and teak for a stylish rustic charm not previously seen in Costa Rica. There are several large mango and Bodhi trees which are home to a large family of howler monkeys. For the past decade Milarepa has been a favorite hideaway for celebrities, athletes, rock stars, and fashion icons.
The surf and sea are just a few short steps from your bungalows and feature some of the best surf breaks in Central America. At mid to low tide there are several gorgeous tide pools located directly in front of the property. There is no public access to the pristine white sand beach just in front of Milarepa so at many times of the year you have it all to yourself.
Our in-house concierge service can arrange everything you’ll require to complete the perfect getaway. We can provide some of the countries finest private chefs for an inspired tasting menu one night then a local cook for “typical” Costa Rican meal the next. We also offer beverage and wine service, relaxing or therapeutic massage, juice and raw food cleanses, private yoga classes, pilates classes, surf lessons, surf tours, quad tours, canopy tours, and restaurant recommendations and reservations. From the moment we arrived til the moment we had to leave (very hard to...) the experience at Milarepa was unforgettable and perfect in every way. The bungalows are beautifully integrated into the environment and simple... they had the necessary to feel comfortable and relaxed. The open-air bathrooms are lovely. Jesica and Nauel (hope i'm spelling his name right) were both remarkable hosts, they made us feel at home and offered to help us in any way and gave us great tips for the area. The dinners are absolutely delicious and fresh, chef Sebastian is a great cook and prepared fresh daily menus. We had the best tuna tartar and mahi mahi ever... I highly recommend The Milarepa!
Living in Paris, traveling the world for work and holidays, I had a dream of one day living on a beautiful tropical beach full time! I came to Costa Rica and fell in love with Santa Teresa. This property was the culmination of that dream.
The Milarepa is one of the most amazing and unique beachfront properties in Santa Teresa/Mal Pais. Located on the exclusive northern end of Santa Teresa. We enjoy spectacular ocean views and unforgettable sunsets. The best surf spots in Central America are just steps away from your bedroom.
