Only 10 minutes from the beach by car, this highly desirable property is situated just east of Santa Monica in the Mar Vista/Culver-West neighborhoods. The property is in a very convenient residential pocket with plenty of dining, nightlife and shopping just a short drive away. The major LA freeways (405 and 10) are both within 5 minutes making the rest of Los Angeles that much closer. Public transportation is also within walking distance of the apartment.

This apartment is the place you want to be if you're seeking a phenomenal value right near the beach for an extended visit, a romantic getaway, a surfer's weekend, or a family vacation. It can comfortably sleep 4 with a queen-size bed in the bedroom and a large 'L' shaped sofa bed in the living room that converts to a full-sized mattress.

This remodeled, modern apartment is in a small, safe, 6-unit community. The building is conveniently situated off of S. Centinela Blvd, which connects Jefferson Blvd and Playa Vista to the south to Brentwood farther north.

We want you to enjoy your stay, so relax and have a good time! Apartment amenities include:

So many attractions are right nearby - Mar Vista has a very cute Farmer's Market on Sunday mornings less than a mile from the apartment. The property is just outside the Santa Monica tourist zone, yet also convenient to it. Santa Monica with its numerous cinemas, dining and famous amusement pier, is located 15 minutes west. Venice Beach and its world famous boardwalk is located even closer, about 10 minutes west. The Getty Villa Museum is 15 minutes northwest, the Getty Center and UCLA are 15-20 minutes northeast. Drive north along Pacific Coast Highway to Malibu and its rugged coastline. It's gorgeous! Drive 50 minutes south to Disneyland, 45 minutes north to Magic Mountain, or 30 minutes northeast to Universal Studios.

Hello! We're a couple of hopeless romantics that want you to have a great time in our little hideaway. Sophie is French from the Cote d'Azur and Sebastian is from New York City.

Great Little Place

The apartment was lovely, clean, bed was comfortable.
The closet door and bedroom door are back to back. I'd lose
the closet door or have a curtain on a tension rod instead of the closet door. Convenient location.

Would never stay here again! Reviews not accurate

We were very dissatisfied with the apartment. We were looking for a good deal, read the positive reviews, and booked it. But we were so disappointed! These are the things they don't list on the description and have not been stated in any reviews:

+Once you add the cleaning fee and the obligatory insurance you're paying significantly more than what's advertised!

+ The first night there was an extremely loud party with yelling and music that went well into 1am! I called the owners to complain and I still haven't received a call back from them!

+ Extremely loud traffic noise starting at 5:30am! even with the windows closed, it's impossible to sleep

+ The building is a motel like rat box on Centinela Ave. which is an extremely busy, loud and dirty street. Just a bad bad choice to have an apartment for rent.

+ The designated parking space is "straight on" with a wall on the left - and the weekend I stayed - a huge SUV on the right. Lucky that I am 130lbs. otherwise I would have not been able to get out of the car! The other 3 spaces were taken.

+ Bring your own toilet paper! They think they are saving money by providing cheap, transparent and rough toilet paper

+ Bring you own towels! They are small, rough, thin and old!

+ There are no flat surfaces in the bathroom, unless you consider the toilet lid a top? There is a metal open shelf way above the toilet, but things fall through and it can't be used while you shave, apply make up, or rest a water bottle!

+ Bring your own blanket for whomever sleeps on the couch - there was none.

+ Could never watch TV - there are no instructions INSIDE the apartment on how to operate the remotes.

+ Watch out for the closet door and the door to the bedroom! They both open out and it's an accident waiting to happen!

+ ok, the only positive thing was that it was clean, small as described and the pictures posted are accurate.

Owner's Response: What a disappointing review! We strive to make each guest’s stay pleasurable, memorable, and relaxing. We hope that comes across in our many many positive reviews. Unfortunately, we clearly failed here. It's also unfortunate that we never received any emails or phone calls regarding these concerns, otherwise this guests' issues would have been addressed immediately (i.e. showing the guest how to fully pull the couch out to retrieve the linens and blanket stored inside or letting the neighboring guests know that we have a no tolerance rule for late night disturbances like the one this guest had to experience). Regarding the fees, none of them are hidden. We charge a cleaning fee like everyone and an insurance fee instead of a security deposit. We charge tax as all units in Los Angeles are supposed to. That gets paid directly to the city.

Rather than go through each complaint, we’d like to reiterate we feel a real sense of failure when even one of our guests does not enjoy his or herself. We take the positive and negative reviews seriously and try to learn from them. If someone takes the time to write a review there must be something to it and we have every reason to work hard so that everyone has a great time. Our sense is that this review came out of more frustration than fact, but we will make sure going forward that a copy of the arrival instructions that we email each guest before they arrive (that clearly show how to work the tv remote, show where the extra linens are – and there are plenty of everything) is also in the apartment for convenience.
