About The Owner
This is a family home which was built in 1990 following the destruction of the original house on the lot by Hurricane Hugo (you will see a photo on the wall of the lot the day after the storm that appeared on the front page of the New York Times). As a family-owned home, which we all use when it's not rented, we care deeply for it and we believe it shows.
What makes this house unique
It is filled with amazing memories of family gatherings, parties, beach outings, oyster roasts, fresh crab and shrimp dinners, sun bathing on the lower deck, looking for horned toads and ghosts crabs under the house. Now when we stay there, one of our favorite rituals is to rise early every morning, grab a beach chair and large mug of coffee and go sit in the sand at the waters edge to enjoy our coffee and plan our day. For me, this house represents a peaceful, idyllic life.
