Serendipity is defined as the act of finding something valuable or delightful when you are not looking for it. What an understatement for this property! Everything could not have been more perfect. Frances has truly thought of everything you could need for your stay. The views were breathtaking and the accommodations were outstanding. We stayed at the villa for a week and even held a wedding reception there for my daughter. We were content to stay there and never leave!! If I vacation again in St. Thomas, my first choice will be Serendipity. We could not have asked for a better vacation spot for our family. Serendipity helped to create memories that we will never forget. Thanks again to Frances for being so accommodating and for sharing this lovely villa!

18 of us, all in our late 20's and early 30's, came to Serendipity to stay for a week in March. The villa is as amazing as the photos show it to be, and we enjoyed the great breeze off the water during our many outdoor dinners. Any amenity you could need is provided, and the kitchen was great for cooking big dinners in the house.

There is parking for several cars (we rented 4 for our group). The house was very private and has great views... it takes a few winding hilly roads to get there, but it's well worth it and still easy to drive over to Magens Bay or other great beaches on the island (or to Red Hook to catch a ferry to St Johns or BVI).

The owner is very responsive and helpful and I can't imagine a better place to stay on the island if you have a big group! There are so many communal spaces that you definitely never feel cramped- lots of opportunity to mingle or to enjoy privacy. A sign of an exceptional vacation home is when you can't bear to leave, and that's definitely what happened to us! Both throughout the week on days when we stayed at the villa instead of driving off, and also of course at the end of the week when we had to finally head to the airport.

We were a group of 14 (10 adults and 4 children, ages 12, 8, 7 & 3 years old). Before we even left I had communicated with Fraces many times via email and she was very prompt, informative and pleasant to deal with. Just from dealing with Frances I knew our vacation was going to go very smoothly. We stayed at the villa for a week from Jan 17-24 2013. We were met at our rental car agency (Discount Rental) by a manager from the house. She was absolutely wonderful! She drove ahead of us and led us right to the villa. She even gave us walkie talkies so that we could communicate with her as we drove and she pointed things out on the way. Once we arrived at the villa we were very impressed! The manager gave us the grand tour and went over all kinds of information, including a map of the island. The villa was much bigger than expected. There are actually 3 seperate houses. The pool area is fabulous! It is right outside the main kitchen and living area. There are balconies, wrap around decks and outdoor seating everywhere!!! There are 7 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. We had more room than we needed, but it was great for everyone to have their own space and lots of quiet areas to put the kids to bed. You could easily just stay at the house and have a great time! The houses are stocked with tons of supplies. There is even a game closet with lots of board games and cards. The villa had 2 huge coolers which we used every day to pack snacks and beverages to take to the beach. There are even noodles for the pool (which we took to the beach too). There are TV's in every bedroom and several more in family rooms. There are AC units in all the bedrooms (and other places I think), but I didn't even pay attention because we never turned it on. We left our windows and patio doors open and wind off the ocean was just perfect for sleeping. The island itself is beautiful!!! The beaches are left natural, with no resorts on them, just rolling green hills and palm trees. You feel like you are lost in paradise. You must drive on the left side of the road and there are a lot of hills and curves, but we found the roads to be very manageable. Our favorite spot was Magen's Bay, which is only a few minutes by car from the house. It is the perfect beach. They also have water sport rentals and great food. Coki Beach is a must also. A day trip to St. John is a must. You can even take your rental car over there on the car barge. Overall we highly recommend it!!!!!
