Coxsackie Farmhouse Rental Photos and Description
Farmhouse, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 7-8)
Want to get away? Sit on a large rocking chair porch and look at miles of hills and trees and the three horses in the front pasture? Want to walk on 41 acres of land or lie on a hammock, under a tree, hear the sound of cow bells, and chickens clucking? Want to eat outside, either on the porch, or the patio, or inside in the dining room or antique country table? Wake up with the sunlight streaming in, and usually a few deer visible in the 2nd pasture. Or look over at the small pond, where frogs are making that great sound. Do you want to sit in the sun-room listening to music, with the fireplace and the 'entertainment' system, or in the living room, with the wood burning stove, and the floorplanks that are 140 years old? And then, when everyone announces they are starving there is the large, beautiful kitchen, open to all the views, making chopping a delight, or the back to basics charcoal BBQ. Best of all, at the end of a day of antiquing, fishing, swimming in a lake, kayaking, playing minigolf and seeing a movie, settle into a HUGE bathtub, and just soak.
For us, this place is heaven. We hope it is for you too.

About The Owner
I am a General Manager of Broadway shows, and my wife is a Life Coach. Our son is going to Yale this September. We love art, music, theater, traveling and finding gelato.
The Owner purchased this farmhouse in 2009
Why The Owner chose Coxsackie
We fell in love with this property and the easy 2 and half hour ride up the Taconic to get there. The house is open and airy, yet with fireplace and woodburning stove. It has a fabulous kitchen and we love to cook. It's peaceful but close to stores, restaurants, minigolf, and movies. We love the combination of 'things to do' and just feeling secluded.
What makes this farmhouse unique
The antiquing is great, the nearby drive-in is retro, lots of great restaurants and the nature is beautiful. Watch humming birds feed from your rocking chair on the porch. Go to Hudson, Catskill, Hunter, Woodstock, Albany or just stay put.
