High vaulted ceilings, beautiful gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and all cooking accoutrements (owner is a passionate cook and wine collector). It is perfect for entertaining.
The house is located on a one acre lot in a private waterfront community which is bordered on the east by Long Island Sound and on the West by Wilson Cove. We have access to a private beach and two tennis courts, which are both a five minute walk away. We also have three miles of virtually car free roadway, so perfect for walks, running and biking.
Dine in either the inside dining area or on the large patio which features tranquil pond and wooded views. Large living room has vaulted ceilings and fireplace. Second living room has flat screen TV, CD/DVD player, iPod connectivity, and wireless broadband access throughout the house. Master bed room has king-size bed with panoramic views of the pond. Master bath has large tub and steam shower; guest bedroom has queen bed and deck overlooking the pool and pond; third bedroom has an option of queen bed or queen pullout sofa if one prefers to use it as a study. It also houses a large desk and iMac computer; guest bath has bath and shower combo. Half bath downstairs.
Outdoors: Large stone wood BBQ, teak dining table which seats 8-10 people. Swimming pool with loungers. Hammock.
Convenient one hour train ride/drive into New York City. Five minute drive or short bike ride into charming Rowayton village which offers a couple of restaurants and quaint stores. Live music through the summer on Sunday evenings in Rowayton's Pinkney Park.

Rowayton is a small beach town with casual charm. I fell in love with the house first but it didn't take long for the sense of community to make an impression on me.
