Hi, you are inquiring about the Lake Placid townhouse of Lucie & Sylvain. We are a couple of outdoors enthusiasts who are environmentally conscious. We enjoy nature, whether it is hiking, biking, skiing, canoeing or kayaking.
We love the Adirondacks. We also love Lake Placid because it is a wonderful family vacation destination. Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the challenging bike terrain, miles of hiking/running/skiing trails and crisp mountain lakes. You can also relive Olympic history on Main Street, home of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic Games.
We purchased this unit after 6 months of research and simply love its beautiful location. We are very happy that you are considering staying in our home.
Lucie & Sylvain purchased this townhome in 2013
Our Lazy Bear Townhouse combines an Adirondack-style decor with all the amenities expected in the 21st century.
Accessible yet remarkably quiet, it is nestled in wooded seclusion against the backdrop of the High Peaks.
In 2014 alone, we have remodeled the kitchen and also added an outside staircase to connect the screened porch to our outdoor patio. We also love adding new accessories and ornaments on our walls.
The tranquility: close to the woods, with the High Peaks in the back.
The breeze: On all days, a delicious breeze blows through our windows.
Wildlife: The other night, a couple of deers stood barely 20 feet away from us. Hares routinely visit our lawn, and we have pheasants in the back.
Our Great Room: spacious and sun-drenched.
Light: with large windows all around, this is never an issue.
Adirondack decor: with many photos or artifacts from the Olympic Games or from the Adirondacks, we immediately feel at 'HOME'.
The property is well kept, clean and very comfortable. We had all the amenities that we could think of and had a great weekend!
This is a great property. Close to town, yet in a quiet neighborhood. The house is charming and well appointed for 8 adults. I especially enjoyed the jetted tub. Just a note to anyone staying that your ugly sweater can stay home. The house was very warm and each room had it's own thermostat. Great find..book early!
We stayed here as a family for our wedding weekend. Everyone who walked through the door instantly fell in love and got online to check to see when there was availability to come stay here themselves. :) Lucie and Sylvain left a beautiful card for us which shows how kind and special these owners are and how much they care about their tenants stay. We could not have asked for a more perfect place... honestly! We are so thrilled and everything went perfect... amazing people, amazing place, clean as can be from corner to corner, and it's beautifully and fully updated throughout.
A grand location and a beautiful home. We were in love with the entire house, not a thing we didn't like. Thank you for sharing your place. It made out weekend very special.
What an amazing place, it is even more beautiful than depicted in the photos. It's location is great since it is very close to town and the ski jump. All the furnishings are comfy, especially the beds. Booking was very easy and the owner responded quickly to any question. We enjoyed visiting the Olympic venues and shopping in Lake Placid. We had great meals at The Dancing Bear (get the lobster roll!) and The Hungry Trout.
This has to be the best place to stay in Lake Placid!
Your town home was the absolute perfect place for my family to stay while vacationing in Lake Placid. I can't think of anything that was missing! It was an ideal size for my large family. As an interior designer I can't say enough about the beautiful interiors as well. We were attending a lacrosse tournament and it was an ideal location to all fields as well as all the activities (Whiteface Mountain, Olympic Arena and ski jump, downtown, Lake Placid boat tour and a drink on the porch at the Mirror Lake Inn) we managed to squeeze in during our short stay. We look forward to returning again!
