I'm a railway engineer and get an opportunity to see some of the most spectacular scenery in British Columbia. I purchased this property as there's nothing else like it. I love fishing, backcountry travel, small towns, & beautiful scenery.
Living in the Okanagan I had no intention of buying a vacation home in the Kootenays, but this condo and location in Kaslo just couldn't be ignored. Not being fully retired, I don't get there as much as I'd like to, but when I do, I fall in love all with it all over again. The hospitality, scenery & climate are awesome.
Each time I visit Kaslo I spend an afternoon re-visiting downtown, stopping for a bowl of homemade soup and scrumpious bakery treat. I try to fit in the Jazz Fetival, River Walk, round of golf, or a few hours at Ainsworth Hot Springs. But for me, relaxing on the deck soaking in the fabulous views highlights my visit.
