My family and I moved to Bar Harbor 2 years ago and built this beautiful cape in a brand new neighborhood. We loved the location because it was just outside of town and afforded us the luxury of a quiet and private surroundings.
We have grown to love the island with all its treasures. There is so much to do here that we feel we haven't even scratched the surface. Of course there is the downtown area with the shops, sightseeing and great restaurants. But there are magnificent gardens, beaches and hikes galore. And the carriage trails are beyond fun.
I hope you enjoy your visit to Bar Harbor and are comfortable in our home.
Julie purchased this house in 2011
Our neighborhood is private and quiet. Soothing breezes and the sounds of the birds will give you the relaxing setting you desire for your vacation.
The house is just a 5 minute drive to the Acadia Park entrance and 10 minute drive to downtown. Right around the corner from our neighborhood is Pirates Cove Miniature Golf, Mainely Meat BBQ restaurant and Udder Heaven, the best ice cream store in Bar Harbor!
The water is visible from our neighborhood and in the morning you can hear the lobster boats in the distance. The breeze brings the ocean air to our windows.
Our neighborhood is private and quiet. We have lots of trees and you are bound to see some wildlife while you are staying here. One of the best features of our property are the wild Maine blueberries on our road. Lots to pick and boy are they good!
We are a short drive to Acadia National Park. So much to do in the park - hiking, biking, picnics, sightseeing, etc.
After a long day in the park, you can drive another couple minutes to the downtown area and have dinner at one of the many fantastic restaurants. The downtown area is setup for visitors to easily walk the entire area in a short time. Lots of cute stores to bring home souvenirs.
Or, you can go home and have the option of eating in or you can walk to a great bbq place, Mainely Meat and right next door is the best ice cream store, Udder Heaven. Before or after dinner & dessert, a short walk across the street to a local favorite, Pirates Cove miniature golf course.
