Overview

Blue Ridge Cabin Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedroom, 1 Bath 5 Sleeps Cabin With Hot Tub

Welcome to Winter at The Treehouse at Cherry Log! Enjoy nature at its finest while relaxing in our cozy hand hewn log cabin nestled in the woods on Cherry Log Mountain. The Treehouse is conveniently located between the charming towns of Blue Ridge and Ellijay, Georgia - within 15 minutes you can be in either one enjoying all the activities they have to offer. A beautiful 90 minute drive north of Atlanta, life slows down at The Treehouse. Let your cares melt away as you enjoy a week or a weekend lounging on the deck, relaxing in the hot tub or snuggled up in front of a cozy fire. Enjoy frequent sightings of deer and wild turkey while reflecting on the deck with a cup of coffee. Bring your friends, your family and your dog!

Our comfortable 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin features a queen sized bed and a twin over full bunk bed. There is also a washer and dryer in the cabin for your convenience. Relax with a book on the covered deck or enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot tub.

There is a fully-equipped kitchen, complete with dishware, silverware, glassware, Tupperware, pots, pans, cookie sheets, muffin tins, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, cutting boards, oven gloves, paper towels, kitchen towels and dishwasher. We also have dishes for your beloved furry friends as well as an ample supply of towels and blankets that are dog friendly for the pooch that likes to jump in ponds and puddles.

For cozy nights, we offer a wood burning, rock fireplace. In addition, the cabin has central heat & air to keep you warm on cold nights and cool during the warm days of summer. If it’s not too warm, we invite you to leave the windows open and allow the soothing sounds of the night to lull you to sleep.

The family room has a 40' flat screen TV, with Cable TV, DVD player (many DVDs included) and Blu-ray with Wi-Fi connection for Netflix viewing. Additionally, the bunk bed room has a TV and DVD player (no cable - but does have Wi-Fi connection for NetFlix). Wireless internet is accessible throughout the cabin and on the deck for those times you want to be connected, or even catch up on a bit of work. Gather around the dining table or out on the deck and enjoy our selection of books, puzzles, board games and playing cards that will keep everyone entertained.

The Treehouse is located on less than one mile of well maintained gravel road, easily accessible by car.

As soon as you cross the covered bridge at the bottom of the mountain, you feel as if it were right out of a movie. Within the neighborhood, enjoy the eight stocked lakes located on Cherry Log Mountain, whether it be fishing for large mouth bass or just hiking around and taking in the scenery. There is also a clubhouse with a horseshoe pit and a playground. There is lots of opportunity for adventure with access to hiking, neighborhood lakes, mountain views, the Aska Adventure Area, Lake Blue Ridge, Carter's Lake, and other lakes within a short driving distance. The famed Benton MacKaye hiking trail winds through the neighborhood. Blue Ridge and Ellijay, GA both have great shopping, antiquing, dining, spas, galleries, and festivals - apples in fall and peaches in summer. Horseback riding, canoeing along the Toccoa River Canoe Trail, tubing, and charming dining experiences await you during your visit. Best of all, sitting on the deck watching the birds and wildlife, enjoying a fire in the fireplace and rejuvenating at The Treehouse provides a perfect getaway for a short weekend or a longer vacation.

We look forward to your visit at The Treehouse! We're positive you'll enjoy it as much as we do!

We had an amazing time! Thanks for having everything so well prepared for our stay. We loved the hot tub and the hiking trails nearby. The Christmas tree and decorations were also a nice touch! Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!

Surprise Birthday Trip for Husband

  • 5 of 5

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful cabin with us! We had a great time and loved that we were able to bring our fur babies with us. We spent the first night cozying up next to the fire watching tv and the next day we toured down town blue ridge and had lunch at Cantaberry (it was delicious)! We also saw a movie at the Swan Drive in with the puppies our last night there. We will definitely be back!!!!

Great stay for us in blue ridge. Nice size cabin was just right for the two of us, and it was great we were able to find a place that our dog was able to come along. Kim, thanks for a great weekend, we'll definitely be back!

Amazing Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

I searched for weeks for the perfect cabin for a weekend getaway for my boyfriend and I. Hawk's Landing could not have been better! Kim was so friendly to communicate with, and gave us ideas of what to do during our stay!

Upon arrival, we were already entranced by the roads to get to the cabin (a very winding, but beautiful gravel road by a stream!). The cabin itself is absolutely stunning. It's small, but cozy! Kim has provided anything and everything you could think of-from pots, dishes, soap, towels, linens, and even games for rainy days and bug spray! This was literally a home away from home kind of cabin. The only thing I had to purchase was food!

The hot tub was very relaxing, and having a cup of coffee out on the porch in the morning is a must! It poured during one of the days, but we were so comfy cuddled up on the couch watching movies it didn't bother us! We even ventured out to sit in the hot tub and listen to the rain.

Ellijay and Blue Ridge are both adorable little towns, with by far the friendliest people I've ever met! If you get a chance, check out the Harvest on Main restaurant in Blue Ridge-we didn't get a chance to due to the long wait but the menu is amazing! Also, the Toccoa River Restaurant is worth the 45 minute drive! Amazing view and food!!!

If your looking for a get away in the woods, or LOVE hiking, this cabin is a must. There are tons of hiking spots around (I loved Amicalola Falls State Park), as well as hiking paths behind the cabin.

Will definitely be returning here!!!!

Map

Car: necessary

For the family: Swan Drive-in movie theater, Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, zip lining, Southern Tree Plantation, seasonal farm-fresh fruit picking at one of the many area orchards (strawberries, cherries, blueberries and apples), childrens' theater productions at Blue Ridge Theater, Lake Blue Ridge (swim, boat & jet ski rentals), hiking nearby trails, fishing in one of the nine stocked lakes on the mountain, and so much more!

For the ladies, if you want to get out and explore, you can find retail therapy in the shops of Ellijay, Blue Ridge and McCaysville, as well as the flea market in Murphy, NC (about 35 minutes north) on the weekends. There are spas and salons in the area that will cater to you in their establishment, or even come to you in the cabin!! Visit one of the local wineries for a tasting and pick up a bottle or two for a relaxing evening on the hot tub.

For the guys, fishing, golfing and adventure abound. Round up your friends and head over to enjoy a weekend of manly fun! Stocked ponds and hiking trails are located on the mountain, so no need to venture out unless you are off to play a round of golf or have a delicious dinner at one of the many restaurants in town (try the Pink Pig right near the entrance to Cherry Log Mountain on 515 for great BBQ!).

For romance, try the Blue Ridge Community Theater, a couple's massage at one of the many spas (or even in the cabin!), a romantic dinner out (or in!), horseback riding or just cuddle up in the cabin for a weekend of wonderful reconnection.
