Located in very safe and eco-friendly neighborhood, the apartment is walking distance from many restaurants, shops, and local supermarkets. Transport by metro/tube, bus, and even bicycles are available nearby.

High quality furnishings, automatic central heating, fully fitted contemporary kitchen with fridge and freezer, dishwasher, electric hob and oven.

Flat comes with a digital TV, DVD player, I-pod/I-phone speakers and docking station. There is fiber optic wireless broadband throughout the apartment (WIFI), and a courtesy UK mobile phone for your use during your stay.

The bedroom has a double bed with top quality memory foam mattress, and benefits from double glazed window. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. There is a large double sofa bed in the living room for additional guests, as well as an extra guest bed. The flat benefits from secure entry with intercom and buzzer, renovated entrance and stairways to building.

This flat is managed by a professional support team providing outstanding customer care, and the multi-lingual team speak English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.

We have the best housekeeping and maintenance team to ensure that your flat will be polished upon arrival for your stay with us. Our green house keeping team is always eco-friendly, using only environmentally safe cleaning products.

Location close to attractions and transport, in a real London non-touristic trendy neighbourhood with all amenities from supermarket across the street to cafes, restaurants and even bars and pubs. The flat is very bright and airy, yet double glazed and with blackout blinds for comfort.

Nice apartment in a good area

We were 4 in our family and enjoyed our holiday in London in John's apartment. We had anything we could hope for: fresh and clean laundry, wifi, tv, cooking utensils and a nice guide to the surrounding area, with John's favorite restaurants and PUBs. Lovely stay in London

Our family recently stayed at this nice apartment for 5 days. The apartment is comfortable and well equipped perfect for a family of 4. It was clean and tidy when we arrived and we didn't feel any weird smells during our stay. John was super nice and promptly gave us tips about nice restaurants around. We actually found the apartment even better than the pictures and the location is great. Thank you very much and we hope to see you soon.

Inexpensive and Clean

This apartment is priced right, especially for Islington. It is clean, and John is a great "host." If price for the location is your primary motivation, and you can accept a few less-than-ideal facts about the apartment, this is an good rental. The street is very noisy. If you can't use earplugs, and you are a light sleeper, this is not the rental for you. John supplied terrific ear plugs, which I used (but my husband and daughter couldn't tolerate), and the noise didn't bother me. I would not agree that this is a high-quality renovation. I have rented many apartments that have been renovated, which included updating air flow in the building and some soundproofing. This has not been done in this apartment building. The finishes and furnishings are also not the best--e.g., Pergo/imitation wood, laminate flooring (i.e. not wood), and beds that weren't all that comfortable. The kitchen also left a little to be desired--e.g., very few cooking pots/pans, and no can opener. The worst part for us was the smell of near constant cigarette smoke coming from another part of the building. It started at 4 am and went on until after 7 am. I spoke with John about it, and he was surprised because he didn't think anyone in the building smoked. When we first entered the building we were a little concerned, because the hallway/stairs are very shabby. There are several "no smoking in the hallway" signs, and aromatherapy/scented sticks at ever level of the stairway. It seems there have been some odor struggles. The apartment itself is OK--very clean, great wi-fi, basic Ikea furnishings--just nothing to write home about. If price is the decision maker for you, and you can tolerate the odor of smoke and wear ear plugs to manage the street noise, this is a good choice. John has tons of information for staying in the area and is very available. I think he's great; I'd just wish for a better apartment for my family. Full disclosure: because my husband and I are both asthmatics, the smoke situation was not an option for us. We ended up moving to a hotel. John was great and tried to do a last minute rental to get us some refund. I want to reiterate that John is great and runs the business very professionally. We wouldn't hesitate to rent another property from him again.

Thank you for your review, although I find it quite long and confusing and so it can be misleading for future guests. I take this opportunity to clarify some issues you raise.
- The apartment is on a high street but features double glazed windows, it satisfies most people but for those who are light sleepers I provide earplugs. Just for the records only 1 out of 5 guests renting this flat uses them.
- The majority of the guests find the bed quite comfortable, it has a new memory foam mattress, but I understand it's not always possible to like the same type of beds, anyway it's the first time someone complains with it. There are other reviews where people said the opposite.
- The kitchen is fully equipped and has all the cooking utensils one needs, one large, one medium and one small pan, one frying pan, plates, glasses kitchen knifes, cutting boards, etc. I have bought meanwhile the tin opener, thank you for noting that.
- Regarding someone smoking constantly from 4am to 7am, I find that very odd as everyone in that building is very quiet and responsible and they all work in the morning, and I have never seen or sensed that before. I wonder if your struggles where related with allergy to hay or pollen, which levels in the air where quiet high at the time of your visit in a uncommon warm May.
- the building is not "very shabby", it's a London Victorian building, with it's stairs and carpet, although it's an historic building the walls have been painted recently and there is light and windows at all levels.
- I always put scenting sticks everywhere, this does not mean that there are any struggles, it just means that I try to make a better experience to every guest.

Comfortable and clean!

The owners of this property were extremely nice and prompt. They met us at the apartment to go over all the features and to show us around the flat. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The apartment is near a lot of restaurants and shops. The tube station is just a short walk away. All of this made our stay in London perfect!
