You will not have to worry with all of the Austin Gridlock traffic and have the choice to walk or bike to almost EVERYTHING!! Close enough to the action, but far enough away to get some sleep! Zilker Park, Barton Springs, ACL, SXSW, Long Center, Town Lake Hike and Bike Trail, Zilker Botanical Gardens, Palmer Events Center, Zach Scott Theater, go canoeing, or eat at plenty of the great restaurants, (like the original Chuy's) and there's also a grocery nearby. We are happy to offer some directions or assistance; whatever will make your stay more comfortable. We can usually offer discounts for extended stays and repeat customers--just ask. For parties larger than 8--please call us--the neighboring townhome can be rented simultaneously to host a total of 14 people! We are licensed by the City of Austin (by law all short terms rentals have to be licensed in this city; make sure to inquire before you rent. We apologize in advance for the Austin taxes). Zilker Park, Barton Springs, and the Hike and Bike Trail consist of 360 acres on which visitors can ride bikes (bike rental a mile away), hike, rent kayaks or canoes, play volleyball or disk golf, fly kites, or stroll through the botanical gardens. While at the lake you can try your hand at stand-up paddle boarding, the world's fastest growing water sport. About Tom and Daris Hale
Tom and Daris are artsy musicians that perform with the Austin Symphony, Ballet Austin, and Austin Lyric Opera. We have spent many years performing and living abroad in places such as Italy, Austria, Mexico, Germany, and most recently in Tanzania.
We have two feral children that are relatively house broken and rarely bite. The kids have to attend ballet, opera, and symphony more than they would like and usually resort to hanging with the stage crew. Quite frequently we host foreign exchange students (high school and college) just because we enjoy sharing the best of American culture, like spray-on tans, and dog sweaters. Seriously, we love people and sharing Austin with them. We look forward to hosting you!

Why Tom and Daris Hale chose Austin
This property is amazing because it is very private and quiet, yet very close to Austin's finest attractions. You will be closer to ACL than people can park their cars! You can go jogging and then jump into Barton Springs. The greenbelt is great for hiking during the day and 6th Street is fab for evening pleasures. This is a great place if you want to have fun and then retreat to a peaceful accommodation. Then hopefully you will have time to enjoy some coffee from the fancy machine or watch a movie on the large flat screen TV.
What makes this house unique
The views, the quiet wilderness even though you are in the city, the artsy neighborhood, the greenbelt, and of course, Barton Springs-wow! Zilker Park!
