HJ Haven - A cabin retreat above the Mogollan Rim in the cool pine country of NE Arizona. A short trip to escape the valley of the sun in the Coconino National Forest. Explore the surrounding area via hiking, fishing, day trips or just relaxing under the stars.

This 3 bedroom, cedar sided cabin is perfect for your getaway.

With an acre of property covered in pine, oak and juniper trees you will enjoy the quiet nature surrounding your retreat.

*Our cabin has easy access from major roadways.

* Handicap accessible hiking is within short drive of our cabin.

We are a family of nature and wildlife enthusiasts.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2005
Why The Owner chose Happy Jack

Our cabin is the perfect base from which to explore the surrounding communities and national landmarks. The Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Painted Desert, Sedona/Oak Creek, Jerome and Tonto Natural Bridge are easy day trips from here. Surrounding communities are home to restaurants, shopping, antiques, cinemas, museums and casinos.

What makes this cabin unique

Adjacent to the beautiful Coconino National Forests there is ample opportunity for hiking in the area. A favorite is the Arizona Trail nearby in this area of lakes, creeks and rim country. When the desire for isolation wains we are close to the communities of Pine, Strawberry, Payson, Camp Verde, Flagstaff and Winslow, all within a short drive.

Cozy Escape from the Heat!!!

Happy Jack is a great area, its cool and there are tons of outdoor activities to have a great time, This place is super easy to find in a nice neighborhood, the lot has tons of trees, you can barely notice any of the neighbors houses. The gazebo is nice as it allows you to be outdoors when its raining which if your from Phoenix its great to be able to enjoy the rain. The house itself is very welcoming and comfortable, nice kitchen, as there are plenty of spices to cook with and several basic items. I really like the area and this place is an exceptional value. The HJ Haven family is great to work with, was a very easy rental and we look forward to returning again later this summer.

Our Stay At H.J. Haven

This is our second stay at the cabin and we like that it is very clean and comfortable.
There are good hiking trails just a short drive away and you can't beat the great rates!
Pam goes out of her way to make you feel welcome, and it is appreciated.

We will be coming back on our next vacation.

Mogollon rim getaway

Nestled in the forest of Arizona’s Mogollon rim, this property offers the perfect balance of secluded privacy, and proximity to many outdoor activities. I have had the pleasure of visiting this vacation property twice. My first visit was while recovering from a spinal fusion procedure. I found the facilities accommodation and comfortable. My second visit I was in much better shape. I spent much time exploring the wilderness surrounding the property, and discovered breath taking views around every corner. With its comfortable, and accessible features, and its ideal mountain location, I feel this is a perfect vacation spot for everyone.
