We are both retired and now since our children are grown and gone, we have this extremely large home that needs to be appreciated. We enjoy the activities of living on the mountain and the Frederick City Forest and yet close to the heart of town. We enjoy driving our horses and bicycling. This location provides that without having to travel.
Our four children now have families of their own, but they enjoy coming back to enjoy the peace and quiet of this unique property.
Fredric E Scire purchased this house in 1981
When we found this property many years ago, we were impressed by the solitude of being on this mountain ridge and yet we were only 10 miles from the heart of town.
The Guest Hideaway is adjacent to the Frederick City Forest on the east, Gambrill State park immediately to the south and Catoctin National Forest immediately to the north.
