Thank you for visiting my home. Prior to buying my home in Groton Long Point in 1999 my family vacation at Groton Long Point for 11 years for the summers. It has always been a special place for us. My children loved all the summer activities they offer here and couldn't wait for summer vacation at GLP! They were always so very excited to meet up with all their summer friends that they had met here that also came back every year with their families. Now that my children are grown up and have moved away I'm an 'empty nester'. I'm keeping my home so that someday my grandchildren can also experience spending their summers in such a magical place! I open my home to you so you can create similar fond Groton Long Point memories with your own family! I am also a licensed Realtor specializing in Southeastern CT shoreline properties.

The GLP Yacht Club offers a variety of events for adults. Social events include our popular cocktail parties plus at least one other major event each month. These have included wine tastings, comedy nights, themed dances, scavenger hunts, and other fun events. Each month also includes a Dinner on the Porch, a casual bring-your-own (food and beverage) event with light entertainment. July also features our very popular Family Night, held under a tent at South Beach and featuring assorted activities for children. You can bring your own food, or buy from the vendors there. Family Night is followed by fireworks off of Main Beach. Other adult events open to our members have included bocce, card nights, volleyball, and sailing races.
Our youth members are kept busy with a variety of activities for different age groups. For the youngest set, ages 4 to 8, Monday nights feature the Kiddie Dances, a long-time GLP tradition. Kiddie Dances are held in Clark Hall from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. One Monday each month is either the Costume Dance or the Hat Dance. Children can participate singly or in groups, and creativity is strongly encouraged! Meet at the lifeguard stand at Main Beach for a parade to Venetian before heading to Clark Hall for the dance and prizes.
Tweens (ages 9 to 12) have their own activities starting at 7:00 p.m. These include the popular, GLP-wide scavenger hunt (meet at Clark Hall), a sand castle contest (Main Beach), and Capture the Flag (sports field). Days, activities, and locations may vary so check the calendar for details.
The sports-minded have a variety of options. On Friday afternoons each month, there are a series of meets: track, novelty (both at the sports field), and swim (South Beach). Children ages 5 to 12 can participate in these meets. Other sports activities such as volleyball (volleyball court) and dodgeball (at the sports field) are also offered. Check the calendar for details on the dates, activities, and ages.
On Friday nights, parents can take a little time off while their children enjoy the Kiddie Movies at 7:00 p.m. in Clark Hall. There is a minimal fee, and the movies (all G or PG rated) are listed on our calendar.
Teens have their own movies at 9:00 on Fridays, plus other events like an off-Point baseball game or bowling activity to keep them busy.
While they vary from year to year, there are other activities offered to youth and families—bingo, cards, or a dance, for example. Please check the calendar and our website for details.
