The best of both worlds: a fantastic quiet beach community in what looks and feels like a mountain setting!

This wonderful, remodeled (2002) home is located in prestigious Gearhart - the Malibu or Carmel of Oregon and vacation destination for Portland's wealthiest families for well over a century. Located on a 1/3 acre lot bordering scenic Neacoxie Creek, this home has a stunning view of the creek from the outside deck.

The quaint town of Gearhart has rebuffed large-scale commercial development and is the perfect getaway. Within minutes, however, in neighboring Seaside, Astoria, or Cannon Beach, is shopping galore! The outlet mall in Seaside is located just 5 minutes away.

For those who enjoy recreation, Gearhart Golf and Country Club is a 3 minute drive and the Astoria Golf and Country Club is only 10 minutes away. Seaside boasts bike riding, an arcade, a carousel, a beach with swings for the kids, and many interesting shops and restaurants.

Thanksgiving Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at the house in Gearhart! Father, mother, and 20+ son drove down from Washington to meet our daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter from Oregon. We felt like we were welcomed with open arms! The house is beautiful, nicely furnished and arranged, and amply supplied. The Oregon coast is magical this time of year and offers much to do, from active to reflective. We are considering making it a tradition for Thanksgiving.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Great place for group get togethers!

We stayed for 3 nights in July 2011 and loved it. All the rooms are nicely appointed, spacious and restful. We particularly enjoyed the nice living areas, kitchen and deck for family gatherings and meals, and the lovely parklike backyard with creek was like having our own personal wildlife reserve. Took some great photos of geese, ducks, and a very regal heron. Watched a gripping goose conflict on the water involving close to 20 geese!

Gearhart is a charming place and the Pacific Way bakery and cafe are favorites forever! McMenamins is pretty special, too. Loved their ling cod and breakfasts.

Had a Great time

Stayed there on the weekend of the 4th of June. Great time, went to the beach and it was sunny and very warm. Did Astoria on Saturday which is a town of History. We will Be back next year! Thanks for the Wonderfull time at the Beach.
