Hello! My name is Patty and I would enjoy being your Host. I purchased this property in March 2012 and pretty much spent the next three months working with a general contractor to make improvements to the property and to gather information about the vacation rental business.

I am a horse enthusiast and a dog lover. I love riding my horses and my dogs enjoy going on trail rides with me. I spent 24 years working for the Federal Government in the Washington, DC area before moving to NW Montana over 12 years ago. My home is also on the property of the vacation rental so I would be available to take care of any needs.

I have been a small business owner and feel I have the common sense and compassion to make my vacation rental a pleasant place to stay for your experience in one of the most beautiful parts of the Rocky Mountains.

Patricia Barberio purchased this cottage in 2012

When I first visited NW Montana in Dec 2001, I fell in love with the Columbia Mountain Range. I was not able to find a home in this area at that time. I had visited this property a few times in the past and had purchased a few horses from the original owners. When those folks moved on, I jumped at the chance to place an offer on the home and property. This has been my 'Haven' ever since.

This Log Cabin was built in the 80's and was the original home on the parcel. Having the horse pastures close make for a very special view upon awakening - to see the horses grazing or staring at the house for me to come outside and feed them. Turkeys roost in the tall pine trees and an occasional fox has been known to trot by.

CLEAN, CONVIENTANT, A GREAT VALUE, FAM FRIENDLY

  • 5 of 5
The cabin was located at the front of the property and a garage allowed us privacy so we could enjoy the beautiful deck. Patty had three wonderful dogs that would greet us in the evening. We had a washer and dryer, grill, stove, microwave full kitchen and a very very comfortable bed and a nice futon for the kids to sleep on. We were exploring most the time but felt like we had a refuge from a long day of fun. Please visit Pine Haven Ranch, it's 100 times better than a hotel, we would know as we stayed in one on the way back to Colorado and we felt spoiled at Patty's cabin.

AWESOME!!!

  • 5 of 5
There is nothing more to say than it was awesome. The cabin is so nice. Well furnished and supplied. We loved it. Your dogs are great. Victor is huge, but such a gentle fellow. It was great to watch the horses get trained. And the sunsets off the front porch were georgeous. Then, when the stars came out it was so beautiful. We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Morgan, our dog, enjoyed the chance to run around your fenced area with your dogs.
The listing was accurate and the property was spotless when we got there. You could not have asked for a nicer hostess than we got. I have already told everyone I know how great this place was. Quiet, romantic, and private.
It's located a short ride to Glacier National Park, making it ideal for anyone going there. There is a great grocery store in town, Smith's, where you can get everything you need to eat at your cabin, which is a pleasure if you have been living on fast food on the road.
Thank you for letting us stay with you.

PINE HAVEN RANCH IS HEAVEN!

  • 5 of 5
This cabin is way more comfortable and charming than the photos reveal. We instantly felt at home in the woods, surrounded by hills, trees and wonderful animals (dogs, horses, goats, wild turkeys and deer!). The location is perfectly located for day trips into GNP via either West Glacier, or East Glacier by way of HWY 2. The cabin is equipped with all you need for both kitchen and BBQ cooking and affords you ample sense of privacy, safety and relaxation. Patty is a great hostess and steward of the grounds. We hope we can return often.

COMFORTABLE AND RELAXING

  • 5 of 5
Rustic luxury! This little cabin has everything you need for a comfortable stay: a well-equipped kitchen, laundry, storage, deck with barbecue grill, and even Internet and TV. Patty is a great hostess and will take good care of you. The location is perfect for exploring one of the most gorgeous regions on the planet-- it's just a few minutes from the entrance to west Glacier park, Flathead Lake, Polebridge, Whitefish Lake, and Flathead National Forest. It's close to stores. Pretty much perfect.
