Victor House Rental Photos and Description

8 Bedrooms, 8 Bathrooms, Convertible bed(s), Sleeps 20

Imagine 17 acres and NO ONE AROUND, only the aspen and pine trees!! Yet close enough to the necessary amenities you'll be thrilled!

Whether you're fly fishing on the pond while the kids stare at the big one you just caught, or sitting by the fireplace with steaming hot chocolate in your hand watching the snowflakes fall, your stay here will be one for the memory books!

The main log house (+7500 square foot) sleeps 16 + people very comfortably. Complete with full kitchen, great room, sitting and game areas, pool table, air hockey, foosball, 2 steam rooms, massage area, office with 2 desks, 2 fireplaces, 3 pellet & wood stoves.

Private hot tub, 105' wide screen HDTV with surround sound and Wi-Fi to boot! All of this among the trees where you will be totally alone!

For those who love to fish just step out the door to the 1 acre fully stocked pond, watch out for that eagle! Paddle the canoe around the pond or jump off the tire swing and be a kid again! Float the Snake River (only 30 minutes away) or the Henry's Fork (45 minutes away) and don?t forget there is the Teton River nearby too.

Our pond also attracts many types of animals. Imagine having your morning coffee or tea and seeing deer, moose, geese, bald eagles, osprey and several kinds of ducks. Occasionally we will see elk or foxes too. In the spring we have nesting pairs of geese and ducks that will entertain you for hours on end.

In spring, summer or fall hiking & mountain bike trails are just out the door and horseback riding is nearby.

Golf you say? There are several to choose from in Teton Valley (4) & Jackson Hole (2)! Looking for that big old grizzly bear? Explore Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park about an hour away. See if you can spot the elusive wolf. Go river rafting down the Snake, or climb the Grand Teton. Afterwards have a cold one at the Polar Bear bar or soak those tired muscles in the hot tub, ahhhhh!

If winter is your wish we are equal distance between Jackson Hole, Snow King & Grand Targhee (think powder!) Ski Areas. Jump on a snowmobile, the trail is just down the driveway, or snowmobile Yellowstone while you still can. Cross-country ski groomed trails just minutes away. Or back country ski and snowboard the Teton Pass. Build a snowman in the front yard or have that snowball fight you've been itching to have, duck behind that tree to save yourself! Remember you're never too young to make snow angels! Latter have a massage on our heated massage table.

Upon arrival your arrival you will find a welcome basket that includes touches of the local flavor of Teton Valley, trail guides and books on all types of activities in Teton Valley, Jackson Hole and the National Parks as well.

Romantic getaway, large family gathering, reunion, corporate retreat or wedding, this is the place to enjoy it all. Summer, winter, spring or fall there?s plenty to choose from. We have a large collection of VCR tapes (children's too), DVD's, games, puzzles, cards and books to keep everyone busy on those stormy days. We also have a pack 'n play & high chair for the young ones.

Our main house was added on to in 2006. The detached guest cabin has 2 baths, king bed in the loft, fold out couch, kitchen and dinning area, TV area with additional couch and lazy chair.

About Debbie Gebhard

My husband and I fell in love with Teton Valley after good friends invited us to join them one year for a summer trip. It allows us to get out of life in the fast lane and spend time with family and friends. We relax and appreciate the amazing beauty of the mountains, the valley and time spent together. We have found so many wonderful friends and things to do and have many great memories with our family. Now our grandchildren are starting to come too, and that's the best!

Debbie Gebhard purchased this house in 1985

Why Debbie Gebhard chose Victor

It is close to so many things to do. We have to come back again and again to enjoy them all. No matter what the season, we can't get enough of nature and the great outdoors!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Bret and family,

We are so very glad that you all had such a wonderful time and were able to take advantage of everything from relaxing to Jackson Hole and in between! We are most happy to hear your in-laws too enjoyed it on their very first visit to the area. We hope you'll come back again real soon, summer or winter, to discover even more wonderful things to do here in Teton Valley. Hope we still have turkeys walking around and they didn't end up on your dinner plates!

An impressive escape from reality

  • 5 of 5

This is our second time staying here. We came with two other families, and loved the amenities, luxury bedroom suits as well as the taxidermy animals placed throughout the lodge. First class. We came to go skiing which was close, as well as the restaurants, but yet we felt like we were still out in a world to our selves. It is truly as escape from reality and the hustle of the world.

Owner's Response: Thank you Candace for your kind review. We love having return guests. The only thing we wish we could have done for you is to have fresh new powder, and lots of it. We hope to see you again next year and we'll see what we can do about the powder.

Simply the best!

This house was absolutely amazing!! Our family of 15 takes a trip every year & this was a dream vacation spot for us. After 4 years of planning, luckily, this was our year & we did it! This home was everything & more! I know there are lots of things to go see in the surrounding area, but definitely spend some of your days just around the home. We enjoyed fishing, swinging on the tire swing, roaming around the property, playing air hockey, playing pool (we had some major pool tournaments), watching movies, dancing to some good music and spending many hours on the porch. It was also cool to see the moose & deer come down to the pond most evenings. The house also has amazing mounted wildlife all throughout the home, which totally adds to your vacation experience. Big bear and moose fill the rooms!!! This home is convenient to Jackson Hole and about 1 1/2 hours to the gates of Yellowstone. Our family still talks about this vacation home and the countless memories we made. We spent many hours laughing & enjoying each other while sitting on the back porch. I truly hope we get to stay here again. The owners are over the top nice in order to ensure your trip is a great experience. Our group ranged from 4 - 68 years of age. There was something for everyone here.

Owner's Response: Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! We are so glad you had such an amazing time! As many times as we are here to enjoy this place we still can't get enough of it. We are glad to hear that so many memories were made. Maybe even more to come in the future too. We love to share it and everything around it. This has been the lushist and greenist year ever. Even the animals are hanging around a lot more this year too. Come back again real soon! The Double D aka Dick and Debbie

Way Beyond Expectations!!!

This property is absolutely amazingly beautiful; the down side is it is near Yellowstone & Teton National Parks so you feel "compelled" to leave to see the sites when just staying put is the ideal!!! Would love to have a second week to just enjoy the immediate surrounding area and the grounds of this beautiful home. Debbie and staff go above and beyond to make the home welcoming and comfortable and outfitted with everything anyone could possibly need. A member of our party became ill during our visit so I also have to give a shout-out to the staff at Teton Valley Hospital in Driggs as well; great care by an awesome staff! Really can't say enough about the home, the owners and the area; would return in a heartbeat! Thank you for the great time had by all!

Owner's Response: Michelle, Thank you for your kind words. We are so glad you got to enjoy and see the surrounding area as much as you did. Seeing your family enjoy the pond and having SUP and kayak races was so fun. We installed steps to the tire swing which should help a lot. The staff at the hospital are wonderful aren't they. So loving and caring. We too have experienced them and consider ourselves fortunate to have them here in Teton Valley. Hoping Nancy and your family will make it through this tough time and you can all return again for the "relaxing week", without so much away time. Thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Can't wait to go back...ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!

What a great place to stay. Plenty of room for multiple friends and family. The setting is unbeatable, even in the middle of Winter. Great place to snowshoe and cross country ski. Property is very well taken care of. We could not have been happier.

Owner's Response: We love happy customers!! With the property between 2 airports, 2 ski areas and trails right out the door for snowshoeing and snowmobiling it's hard to decide what to each morning. No need to drive far. So glad your large group was comfortable and found plenty to do on and off the property. Come back in the summer for more fun - hiking, fishing on the pond, horseback riding, floating the river, summer festivals, mountain bike riding (trails are right out the driveway in both directions) just to name a few. Hope to see you again real soon.

Memories for a Lifetime

  • 5 of 5

Thank you! We had such a great time at your home. The skiing was great, the weather was fine and the home was incredible.

I would love to hear about the hunts of each of the animals that are on display. Dick must be an incredible hunter with a bow! We had a great time talking about them and looking at the pictures. Trying to put together each of the stories. The Polar Bear and the dog sled… wow.....gave us all the goose bumps. Dick should write a book about all of his hunts. Anyone staying in your home would love to hear them.

Everything went great. The house was warm and cozy. Nobody complained either way on the temp. The driveway was a bit crazy to get out Sat morning because it rained most of the night. By the time we got back from skiing and dinner it had been plowed. Melissa was great. She came by a couple times and was willing to answer all of our questions. We got to see your local Turkey Flock each day. Awesome display of nature! The boys went out Sunday and played in the snow all day, building things. They had a great time. Monday we hit Targhee with 8” of fresh powder and a bluebird day. What a trip.

We are very interested in staying in your home next year again, everyone just loved the home.

Thank you again from all of us, for opening your home to us and allowing us to have a ski vacation that we will all remember for a lifetime.

Owner's Response: Rod, Thank you for your kind words. We are so glad everything worked out well with your large group. There isn't much we can do about the weather, we try sometimes, we are so glad you got a powder, blue bird day. That's the only way you can see the Grand Tetons in all their splendor in winter. We hope everyone was comfy no matter where they ended up sleeping. Keeping the house warm and the driveway plowed can keep one busy in the cold snowy weather. It is fun inside or out during the winter whether you're reading by the fire, playing a board game at the big table or a game of air hockey downstairs. Isn't it amazing how kids, even us that are young at heart, can keep busy outside no matter how much snow there is? So glad to hear the turkeys are still on parade. They travel around a bit and we're not always sure where they are. Just so long as they hide out at the end of November! Looking forward to having you return next winter.

Wonderful getaway spot in the Tetons.

The property is easily accessible, but tucked away so it feels remote. Home is spacious yet cozy and is gorgeously appointed with a true western feel. Full kitchen is well stocked. Stargazing from the hot tub is a must.

Owner's Response: So glad you all enjoyed your short but restful stay. Please come back again anytime for a relaxing hot tub and good night's sleep before the next hockey tournament. Stay a little longer and enjoy the skiing, snowboarding or snowmobiling too!
