Excellent Location, Outstanding service, Great Value, Very close to all attractions, Easy to Check in & out, Worth the Money you spent
First off we really appreciate you making this cabin available for us since the pipe burst in the Condo we originally rented! Cabin was cute, kind of hot when we got there especially in the loft. Dodging the wood bees and wasps were a constant adventure. When we arrived at the cabin the DirecTV wasn't hooked up along with the DVD player, so my husband had to go into tech guy mode which is what he is at home. Hot tub didn't work the whole time we were there. I called the number and talked to a gentleman that said he would be there that day we left to eat, so I don't know if he showed or not, but it never worked. It says that the fold out couch is new, but it sure didn't sleep like a new one; however, I haven't slept on one of those yet that are comfortable. We didn't have enough towels for our stay and the kitchen didn't have enough silverware for 5 of us. Batteries were missing from several of the remotes. Also didn't help they were adding onto the deck of the cabin across from us, so hammering etc. was going on in the mornings.
We had a wonderful time. The cabin was better than what we expected (couldn't beat the nightly rate.. we thought there was going to be a catch!). We had 4 adults and 2 toddlers with us and it was PERFECT. We spent every night in the hot tub (it was filled fresh for us upon arrival). It took the air quite a long time to kick in and cool the place down when we arrived. I wouldn't exactly say everything is walking distance- I guess if your ambitious it is. We only had two compaints- The cabin didn't have a broom (but had a dustpan..?) and one can only imagine being without a broom with two kids under the age of 2 1/2. Also, the cleaning crew on the check out day sat next to our cabin hawkeyeing us at 9am (when check out is at 10). So while it was already chaotic and stressful trying to get everything and everyone loaded up it they didn't help with the comfort level. Also, we didn't have a pamphlet (the information packet) that was left for us and it wasn't until after being cussed out by the women at the hotel at the front of the property that we found out the dumpster is at the back of the Pin Oak cabins (way back.. by the two very large cabins).
Nana Bear is a very cozy little cabin, perfect for a small family or 2 couples. The pull out sofa is not nice enough for adults, but kids might not notice the lumpy bed (mine didn't!). I would have given it a five star rating, but I wasn't a fan of the view/location. It was exactly how it was described, though. It is right in the main action. If you are looking for a cabin to lounge in and look at the Smokies you might want to go farther out. It was a great cabin for a great price!
Upon our arrival at Nana Bear we step into a clean cabin Enjoyed our stay, nice cabin to rent on your vacation and we will rent it again on our next vacation because its close to the parkway and attractions. we went to hatfield and mccoy dinner and show within walking distance. just wished that the cleaning crew would have left the ac on the cabin was hot when we got there.all in all we did enjoy our stay.
My sister and I rented this cabin for one week in June, it looked great on line, when we arrived at the cabin it was not very clean, cob web's, porch railing loose, step's loose, very few towels, so I immediately called I trip and they called back very soon and offered to move us but because of no internet access we had no idea of what we might get so we decided to stay put. The owner brought us more towels the next day and we pointed out the porch railing's and he just kind of shrugged it off. My bed was ok, the down stairs bed was very uncomfortable and very worn out. On the back porch where the hot tub is located it is so closed in you cannot even fit a chair out there to set in, very uncomfortable, so we did not use the hot tub at all. And with us being there for a week with no washer and dryer (my fault) it was an inconvience to say the least. This cabin would be good for a few nights for a few people being very small a max of 4 people . I liked the location and would stay again but only for a few days not a week. The owner was very nice, but also noticed this cabin is up for sale.
The Nana Bear cabin was just perfect for our stay. Our group of 6 came to Pigeon Forge without a car, and we were right across the street from all the attractions! The place was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with amenities. When we ran out of towels or needed help with the tv, management took care of everything right away. We were very happy with the Nana Bear and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area as an ideal place to stay! We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and private hot tub every night. We also made use of their offer for half off at Wahoo Ziplines, which was a great deal and my family loved it. Our cousins also visited Pigeon Forge and they stayed at a fancy cabin way up in the mountains. But when they saw the cleanliness and convenience of our cabin, they were jealous!!
