Sam purchased this cabin in 2004

We fell in love with this beautiful cabin the minute we saw it. It is our own secluded paradise.

A serene oasis away from the hustle and bustle of big city life.

AWESOME CABIN, BUT WATCH OUT FOR MOSQUITOS

  • 4 of 5
The cabin, property, lake, and weather were perfect. The cabin is very secluded and very nice. There were plenty of towels, crockery, etc. You could sleep 14, but it's going to be tight quarters. The owners were also great to work with. We visited the first week of June and none of our party is from Michigan, so we had no idea about the mosquitos in the UP this time of year. They were absolutely terrible. We spent about $100.00 on citronella candles, torches, bug sprays, you name it, and nothing worked. At about 10:00 pm, they would settle down and we could go outside, but during the day it was miserable. We tried fishing at the lake, but we were constantly swarmed by small flies that would get in your mouth, eyes, nose, ears, etc. We finally gave up and went home a day early. In short, if you're visiting when the mosquitos are not around, this place is fantastic. Go anywhere on the UP when the mosquitos are in season, and you're just wasting your money.

WE WOULD RECOMMEND THIS CABIN RENTAL TO FRIENDS AND RELATIVES.

  • 5 of 5
The cabin interior was very nice and clean; well taken care of and nicely decorated with all amenities included. There isn't cable T.V. so we suggest bringing some DVD's for the player and a radio for entertainment if needed.

GREAT PLACE !!!!!

  • 5 of 5
It's quiet, in a nice area, and has everything we needed for a great family vacation. We loved going for hikes right out the back door and having campfires almost every night. We would absolutely recommend this to a friend.

FUN UP NORTH!

  • 5 of 5
My family had an excellent stay. Cabin is clean and quaint, away from it all. Great for atv enthusiasts as there are tons of trails right next to the cabin. Lots of opportunities to fish and hike and relax around a camp fire. There are neighbors but you're surrounded by woods so you feel private. Trade offs for this excellent value is that the shower is small (plenty of hot water however) and the beds are like all beds in hotels and rentals - firm.

Owners are helpful and courteous when working out the details of your stay.

We took a few day trips to pictured rocks and hiked, it was so lovely.
This cabin was a perfect home base for up north exploring. There is also a canoe/kayak trail close by. For a short little trip, Big Springs is well worth visiting too.

BEAUTIFUL PLACE!

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I and our dog stayed at this cabin the first week of October. We were really lucky to be right in prime time for the beautful fall colors and the weather was sunny and warm everyday! The cabin itself is very nice, clean, and private. It has everything you would need. Although there are houses across the road from the cabin that are on the lake, the cabin is very private and you are pretty much by yourself surrounded by woods. My husband especially liked that he could take his gun, our dog and walk right out the door behind the house and walk the trails of the Hiawatha National Forest to go bird hunting. There are also numerous small lakes in the National Forest that we drove too not far from the cabin and most are very private and are just in such a beautiful setting. Next time we come back we are bringing a boat as you could be gone all day going from lake to lake fishing! The owners were always very prompt and answered all our questions that we had. We absolutely plan on returning next fall to try bird hunting again and to fish on all the beautiful lakes in the area!
