Enjoy all of Costa Rica from this exclusive mountain top, jungle home. You will feel like you are located miles and miles from civilization, yet in reality you are only a few minutes from two beaches, more restaurants that you can eat at in a month and all of the services and tours that are offered in Costa Rica.
Most people come for the beach, but fall in love with the views and tranquil setting of this home.
This is a 2 bedroom / 2.5 bathroom home plus a loft that acts as an additional bedroom. The upper bathrooms are both ensuite (located in the bedrooms) and have rain forest showers. The master bath has views of the ocean and is an indoor/outdoor shower. The decor is beautifully designed; modern yet tropical. Furnished nicely.
The master bedroom has a king bed and private ocean, jungle and mountain view terrace. It also has a ceiling fan and a/c. Also, one of the features is a banana leaf roof / ceiling in the master bedroom.
The guest bedroom has a queen bed and ocean and mountain views as well. Also with ceiling fan and a/c.
The loft has ocean views also and is equipped with two single beds and room for an additional air mattress.
Note - the loft is open to above the master bedroom.
The main floor has ocean views from living room, dining room and kitchen. The kitchen has granite counter tops and a bar with bar stools. Appliances are stainless steel. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, cups, silverware, pots, pans, coffee maker, toaster.
There is a terrace off the kitchen / dining room area.
The living room has a television (but who watches tv here) as the night sounds, views of billions of stars and fishing boats on the ocean are much more entertaining. During cruise ship season, you can watch the cruise ships make their way north from Panama. Also, the sounds of the jungle in the evening are the best accompaniment to the sights.
During the day, you can walk to a small river and bathe in the pools (cloths optional as you won't see anyone there). There are also waterfalls that you can hike to, but you should have a guide and be in good shape. If hiking isn't your thing, you can drive or take an atv tour to some other very nice water falls.
Driving. You will need a car and getting there is part of the fun. Located about 1 mile as the crow flies from the ocean, but about 2 miles on a gravel road. The views are amazing!
I am renting this for a relative that owns the home. My wife and I have lived in Costa Rica for 7 years - originally from Michigan in the US.
I am the owner of the RE/MAX franchise in Jaco. We have two children - both were born in CR and enjoy dual US - Costa Rican citizenship.
We love to share the paradise that we discovered with others.
I am open to phone calls and will explain in as much detail as you will like.
This home features a nice mix of jungle and adventure in a very nicely constructed and furnished home. You will come for the beach, but won't want to leave because of the views - awesome by day - but as good or better at night! You can even here the ocean humm in the distance.
Quiet, close to nature, near the beach, near many restaurants, bars, and tours yet far enough to feel like you are all alone.
It is a great home base if you want to explore the central coast. It is an amazing home for relaxing and being close to nature.
Nature. If you are a nature lover, then you must rent this home. You will see white face monkeys, toucans, scarlet macaws, green meely parrots, parakeets, many species of exotic butterflies including the blue morpho, etc...
Casa Cerro Fresco (means fresh mountain because of the breezes) is isolated and quiet with only 3 homes in the direct vacinity.
Hermosa is a laid back surfer town with boutique hotels and bistro style restaurants. The beach is a very long and excellent for long walk in the morning or late afternoon and is one of the best surf beaches in the world (home to the 2009 World Surfing games).
Jaco has a 3 mile long beach and more gentle waves. This is a great place to learn to surf with many surf schools and board rental shops. Jaco is also the support town for the out laying areas with several grocery stores, many restaurants, shops, and everything you will need. Jaco also has some nightlife and a few small casinos.
We can recommend restaurants for you from pizza to all you can eat lobster and everything in between!
